Imagine and try to recollect from your family, friends, neighbors, and your colleagues, sometime or the other everyone would have surely told you once or twice in a week, that they have a headache. That may be from their work pressure or any other personal stuff that bothers them.

But none of us would have heard that they all had cheek-aches due to the movie recently they have watched, or they encountered some funny incident which happened at their playground, Gym, Office pantry, random tea shops, home or at our workplace where they spend most of their time.

So far 99% of the readers will agree with me. If yes continue reading….

So, it’s so obvious we forget to make ourselves happy at most of the times. Right?  Someone might think why it is so important to laugh out loud. So here we not going to talk about laugh therapy or some medical advises. This is just a story of the person I met randomly at gym.

I recently met a college going student (who has completed his Engineering) in gym and he was talking to me on how to prepare for campus Interview, after knowing am a HR person. But I was very tired after working out on a long working day. I was bit hesitant to him Initially and not very keen on building a conversation.

But to maintain the relationship I was sharing my experience on campus Interview when I appeared and how it happens now (from my current organization perception) I was sharing thoughts to him. After some point of time the discussion turned out to be a Mock Interview with Gym tracks, bags and having protein shake in the hand, instead of having resumes and some certificates.

One of his friends joined him and he was noticing us, and I started with some basic rapport building questions and started asking some of the basic engineering questions like What is stress and what is strain? That guy purely from covid batch was telling me stress is a physical stress which will be caused for human due to work pressure and personal problems. Strain is the pain which will be caused due to stress. This we can avoid by having hot tea, good massage, or some steam bath. Surely, I was clueless by the answer, and I was thinking that for a week and laughing out loud. That day I strongly believed Engineers can make anything happen. He silently replied, Bro am from Covid batch. I said OK no worries. From that day I started mentoring him and made him understood that it is very important to learn and understand basics to get any job which can help him to earn better. Finally, he was able to land in a job with 4.5 lacs of offer on a purchase role in Flextronics.

So, point of this story is, when you feel you have strong headache or you are exhausted first meet our Engineers :P, Jokes apart.

During covid I was completely zoned out from everyone and everything. My routine become playing video games, watching movies and web series (mostly crime, thriller, which is sometime disturbing) and I go to bed with completely negative vibes.


Covid made us to realize it is very important to keep ourselves healthy, fit and the importance of having physical classrooms and family over work. You have seen many people have gained weight (abnormally), started forgetting healthy diets, worsening relationships and tend to enjoy being alone. So, it is very important to remove the habit of being alone.  So covid bring us to the point where you should start investing time on yourselves, spending time with others, and listening to someone when they need you.
