Checklist for Product's Ideation, Creation & Launch

Checklist from thinking of a product idea to creating it and then selling it.

I will give you my quick checklist.?


First of all, thinking of a product idea should come naturally to you after you have worked in the market.?

You will get to know what are the loopholes, what are the opportunities, and what are the demands of the market by actually working in the market.

If you sit at one place for an Idea to strike in your mind, I am sorry to disappoint you, it does not work that way.?

For a good product idea to strike in your mind, you need to work in the market, maybe as a service provider, maybe you are doing a job or anything.?


From there you will get an idea about a good product.?

You will see something that people around you are doing manually but if you can automate it then it will sell like anything.

Or if there’s a product that has a demand in the market but is not available to people, if you can fill up that gap, again you have a desirable product idea in your hands.?

So that is how ideas are going to come into your mind.?

So, the first thing is the product.?


Then the second thing is making a sales page of it. And if you can go on to build a funnel on your sales page (which you should) then make it.

And if you are not confident enough about your product yet, then you should sell it first by just making a sales page before you actually make the product.?

Because in making an actual product, a lot of time, money, and investment would go.?

So it's better to sell the product before actually making it only to see whether people are ready to grab that product or not.

If your product is not ready, so somewhere on your sales pages, you can tell people that it's still in the Beta phase (i.e. in making) and you will be giving access to it after some time.?

If you can fulfill your promise by giving access till that particular date then it's great.

But in case you are not able to do that then you can just refund those people because at this stage, for you the money should not hold much importance, but the knowledge of the demand of your product’s idea should hold greater importance.?

You must have tangible data before committing to the product or not.


Once you have come to a conclusion regarding your product, after that it's very easy.?

You just have to make your sales pages, checkout pages and connect your payment gateways to it if you are receiving your payment through an online medium.?


Also, make sure to connect your email autoresponder to it if you are doing online business (it's of prime importance).

After all this, the next thing that you need to do is Optimization.?

Optimization is a process by which you can improve every stage of your product.?

For example, if your product did not get sold, then don't straightaway put your product at fault.?

Start looking at every stage of your marketing, targeting, and selling. Then analyze the reason why your product did not sell.

For example, if doing the webinar is one of your processes to sell. To optimize your sales, just analyze:

  1. How many people landed on your webinar page??
  2. How many of them signed up for the webinar??

You can do all this by tracking easily with the help of tracking tools.?


So, if 100 people landed on your web page and only 20 people signed up. Then your next step would be to think about how you can take those sign-ups to 25 or 30 or 40.?

Sign up percentage should be at least 40%.

Now check if 100 people have signed up for your webinar then how many people out of them turned up to attend the webinar. Let's suppose only 15 turned up, then again you have to figure out how you can increase the show-up rate and take it to 20 or 25 or more.

So when you keep improving all the minor details in your business, automatically it goes from a non-working business to a flourishing business.?


So you need to view your business in this way when it comes to optimizing your business.

Every single stage, every single minor little process of your entire selling scheme should be improved.

One more thing that you should take care of is to have a good customer satisfaction process in place.?
