Check Your Thermostat
The thermostat is the on and off switch for your system, it is important to make sure it is operating correctly.
Make sure your thermostat is set properly to the cooling mode and not in the heating mode only. Some thermostats have an AUTO feature so you can set cooling and heating temperatures, but check to make sure your thermostat is properly set. If the thermostat is set incorrectly to the heating mode in cooling season then you will think you system is not working.
Some thermostats are battery operated so it is good to change the batteries every year during a change in seasons so you can remember to do so. Spring forward or fall back. Set the schedule along with changing your batteries for your smoke detector in the home to ensure you do not have an issue when you are in need.

9 年Also notifying the customer if there humidity is going to override their set point on a Honeywell 8000. People always wonder why are there air conditioning will go below the setpoint trying to obtain a humidity setting because the thermostat is set to override temperature if humidity isn't reached. Also people with schedules that rarely change can be very benefited by actually using the program on a programmable thermostat having your house cool when you get home and not having it cold cold when you're at work.
