Sun is shining; the weather is sweet (Bob Marley). This is the rewrite, I can't dress it up anymore because we live in a civilized #society of savages (See Conrad's Heart of Darkness).
I've been tracking crazy emails I've received for years and lawyers break the most rules because we think a little too highly of ourselves sometimes (for the the avoidance of doubt*, by #tracking I mean reading for my amusement). The craziest email I received so far this year was one correcting my #wordchoice and #syntax (some of my past students should love this), with words that meant exactly what I wrote (just less clear) and telling me, but your version was OK too. Not that egregious IMO and pretty tame compared to some other strange emails people thought were OK to send copying way too many people (myself included, I'm not proud of them and working daily to be less robotic/blunt in my delivery while remaining assertive).
I speak British English so I convert my #BritishEnglish to #AmericanEnglish because I identify more as an American than any other man-made nationality at this time #ifyouknowyouknow . However, since I set foot on American soil in 1997, I've had people who haven't (a) read, written and studied, (b) read, written and studied, (c) read, written and studied across fields, across fields, across fields, try their best, try their best, try their best to remind me that I am not welcome, I am not welcome, I am not welcome. Don't waste your time trying to alienate me (or people like me), I/we just came to pick up MY/our things.

For the avoidance of doubt, MY/our things are (w) the things that were stolen from MY/our ancestors, (x) the things my/our granny couldn't pick up because it was beyond her purview, (y) the things my/our mom and dad hoped for but couldn't get through to and (z)(i) everything I /we can see, think or imagine and (ii) exceedingly above and beyond anything I/we could ever ask or think.
Notwithstanding any of the foregoing or elsewhere on this LinkedIn page, I see your privilege and I raise you 40 acres and a mule, but I don't have a poker face.
* "For the avoidance of doubt" gives me AGIDA as an ex-English Professor: it's an operator and verbal false limb (See Orwell's Politics and the English Language); just be precise. However, break any of the rules rather than sounding barbarous.
