Check the Habits
Improvement in time is exponential.

Check the Habits

This is the ugly subject no one wants to talk about. Finding the secrets to changing those that no longer serve you can be its own journey.

In time, we change priorities and that changes what we do, when we do it. I think there are three kinds of habits. I will explain:

There are "good habits". The things we know are good for us that we do.

There are "future habits". The new habits we want to form going forward.

There are "bad habits". The stuff we want to shed or stop doing like poor eating choices, lack of exercise and even being positive vs. negative which leads to not much positivity.

As practice and as often as I can, I follow a method to get my day started. It consists of five things I do. Gratitude, Affirmations, Reading, Meditation, Exercise.

The order of it changes. I have no rigid absolutes as this way I can always be free to change things up. The length of time in each of the areas differs as well. I just let thing flow. There are plenty of other absolutes that have to happen in a day but these are not that. The responsibilities we have outside of our own time may differ understandably.

Controlling as much of your time in planning, thinking, reading, exercising, administrative duties, family duties and your own free time if an are valuable commodities. Make good habits around all of them. Your productivity then has potential to increase ten fold.

Never forget that you have to balance too. If you finding yourself saying "I am too busy at work to do X or Y", you might have a situation to deal with. I hardly work past 2 p.m. daily to keep some balance of what I use my time for as well. I think I have been more busy now than years prior because I am the owner of all my time. I focus solely on the thing I need to at the time. It is an acquired habit that I think is a gamechanger. I if I am planning or administrating, I do that in the mornings.

Learn to switch out anything hazardous that we know is not good for us. Bad foods and lots of sugar. I switched to honey for coffee. I grind my own coffee and grow some of my own herbs for the kitchen. I look for ways to improve my surroundings, myself and make things better all around.

Other habits we know are bad are wasting money on lottery, buying sugary drinks, spending money on alcohol. Not exercising and not doing something to grow personally and professionally.

Just take one of the stupid ones you have and toss it. You wont miss it and you can thank me later.
