Cheap New EVERYTHING Sensor Technology - Synthetic Sensors | Sustainability in Real Estate

I just came across a new type of sensor which has the ability to monitor and report on nearly everything in the room in which it is in. To be honest, it seems too good to be true, but they have incorporated 12 different types of sensors ranging from Radio Interference, Electromagnetic Noise, Motion, Light Color, Air Pressure, Temperature, Acoustic and Vibration.

Then through a series of baseline tests, the systems learn how space reacts to different events affect all of the sensors and then over time, the system can identify what was used or touched in the space.

Then in the second step, you can input usage data for the different events and then it will generate usable data, for example, if the faucet is running then it will record it for the duration and use the fixture water flow rate to calculate how much water was used. They also gave an example for counting paper towel uses in a washroom, or the opening of doors or cabinets, these types of data can be used to give you a warning if the paper towel is running low, or if someone accessed a storage room.

This approach has the ability to eliminate dozens of sensors and replace them with only one or two. This immediately saves construction costs, as well as they can monitor things that currently don't have a cheap or effective way of monitoring.

Why would you want this information, Simple, TO GET MORE EFFICIENT and SAVE MONEY!! If you know how much you use, then, you can start to make meaningful changes and the fact that you can get validation that you are improving is only a bonus. Additionally, Imagine if you can gamify this on Facebook or other platforms and compete against your friends, or in the office environment, you can encourage your employees to be more efficient.

It does seem too good to be true! I'd like to to try.
