Yesterday we received an inquiry from a new client requesting, what is / should be involved in a disinfection treatment where a "confirmed case" had been reported, enough to say the potential client was shocked when we advised the level of detail that goes into our services
Firstly, All of the our operatives who enter the area MUST wear the correct PPE - 2 over suites of which 1 must waterproof , full face mask, gloves, overshoes, - (gloves & overshoes) must be sealed to the over-suite, to give a 100% barrier between the operative and the infected area.
Secondly, the correct techniques must be used, in that the whole area + touch/contact points must be manually wiped down (a comprehensive list of items/area is issued see below)
Thirdly, all bio redundant materials must be disposed of correctly in accordance with authority regulations
We advised our potential client that we could treat his home and if further confidence was required, we can arrange for a swab tests to be taken by a 3rd party independent approved consultant, taken to their laboratory and the results will confirm the status of area after the treatment has been completed.
Whether you are thinking of using RPM+Rentokil for services / treatments or any other approved company’s for services, please ensure you understand the services /treatments that are being offered to you and that they are the correct treatments to meet your needs.
The helpful guidelines below are aimed in helping you to get the right treatment for your specific needs.
Preventive Treatment or “Residual Disinfection”, where there has been no confirmed case reported
· All areas are to be treated by an Ultra-low volume mist application of an approved disinfectant solution. (the misting technique replicates where pathogens will land on any surfaces)
· This technique ensures that 99.9% of pathogens will be removed
· All touch points should be manually treated via wiping down with the disinfection material.
· The touch points to be treated include but are not limited to door handles, handrails, light switches, TV, computers, keypads, telephones, bathroom contact points.
· All operatives will be wearing 100% personal protective equipment in line with the authority rules – full body suites, gloves, face masks – it’s just important that operatives dispensing the treatments are always safe.
Where a confirmed case has been reported (Only Dubai Municipality approved companies) can treat such incidents.

· Their will be the attendance of a Rentokil NPC biologist to ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the authorities’ requirements /regulations.
· All operatives will be wearing 100% personal protective equipment in line with the authority rules – full body suites, gloves, - gloves and protective shoes must be secured via tape to the waterproof over-suite, face masks – it’s just important that operatives dispensing the treatments are also safe at all times and in a confirmed case all bio waste must be disposed of correctly
