What exactly is an unconference?

Rather than long-winded presentations and awkward networking, Tru breaks the mould with events that give genuine value and an opportunity to learn, network, and challenge the norm.

A handful of ‘track leaders’ will speak briefly on a topic they think the TA industry could be doing better, should be investing in, or that they need some help on. After that, you break out into smaller groups for some informal discussion before regrouping to share thoughts.

It’s a great way to get a new perspective on things, meet people who think the same as you (or very differently) and find solutions to problems that you’ve had for a while – or didn’t even realise you have!

If you’re the type who loves getting stuck in and speaking your mind, it’s the perfect place. But if you like to just sit back and absorb everything, then there’s absolutely no pressure to shout up. It’s welcoming, inclusive, and a safe space to make TA even better.
