ChatGPT Won’t Save You
When ChatGPT first hit the scene, it was hard to tell whether something was written by AI or a human. Fast forward to now, and things have changed. The AI-generated content is getting easier to spot, and frankly, it’s becoming exhausting. We’re seeing social media posts with no human touch, filled with the same stale phrases like “Navigating,” “Ever-evolving,” and “Unlocking.” It’s like every AI tool is working from the same playbook, and it’s getting out of hand.
The Problem? Social media is about being, well, social. You’re supposed to be adding value, sparking conversations, sharing real insights—not churning out content that feels like it was copied from a textbook.
The Solution? It’s time to bring the human back into your content, even when using AI tools like ChatGPT. Here are some tips to help you create AI-generated posts that feel genuinely human and engaging.
1?? Inject Personality—Yours, Not the AI's
Let’s face it: AI can’t replicate your unique voice. That’s your superpower! After generating content, take a few minutes to infuse your personality into the text. Add a bit of humor, a dash of sarcasm, or share a personal story or anecdote.
Example: Instead of “Navigating the challenges of remote work,” try something like, “Figuring out how to work with my cat sitting on my keyboard for the millionth time.”
2?? Cut the Corporate Jargon
AI loves big words and complex phrases that sound official but say nothing. Ditch the jargon and talk like a human. Write how you speak—simple, clear, and direct. People are more likely to engage with content they can understand quickly.
3?? Break Up the Text
Long, dense paragraphs are a surefire way to lose your audience. Break up your text with short sentences, emojis, bullet points, or subheadings. Make it skimmable and visually appealing. Remember, we’re all scrolling through our feeds at lightning speed!
Example: Add emojis for emphasis: “?? Big news! We’ve just launched a new feature you’re going to love!”
4?? Ask Real Questions
Instead of making generic statements, ask genuine questions to invite conversation. The goal is to create engagement, so ask questions that spark curiosity, opinions, or debates.
Example: Instead of “Remember to stay hydrated,” ask, “What’s your secret to staying hydrated throughout a busy day?”

5?? Add Visuals That Tell a Story
A picture is worth a thousand words, and it’s even more valuable on social media. Add photos, GIFs, or videos that complement your text and convey emotion. Visuals with human faces tend to perform better because they create an emotional connection.
6?? Share Personal Insights and Opinions
Don’t just share facts—share your thoughts, feelings, and reactions. People follow people, not brands, and they want to know what you think. Even if you're using AI to generate content, you can still add your perspective.
7?? Use Humor Wisely
Humor can go a long way in making your content more relatable. Add a funny twist or a light-hearted comment where appropriate. Just make sure it aligns with your brand and is in good taste.
8?? End with a Call to Action That Isn't Boring
Instead of the usual “Remember to…” or “Don’t forget to…,” try a more creative call to action. Challenge your audience, provoke them to think, or simply invite them to share their thoughts in a fun way.
9?? Mix Up Your Content Formats
AI tends to default to text-heavy content, but don’t forget to mix things up. Use AI to generate ideas for different formats, like polls, stories, quizzes, or challenges. Diverse content keeps your audience engaged and coming back for more.
Example: Run a poll asking, “What’s the weirdest thing you’ve Googled this week?” It’s fun, engaging, and human!
?? Listen and Adapt
Remember that social media is a two-way street. Pay attention to the feedback you get. Are your followers engaging more with certain types of content? Use that insight to adapt and refine your approach. The more you listen to your audience, the more human your content will feel.
Social media isn’t just a platform—it’s a conversation. And if you’re not bringing your true, human self to the table, you’re just talking to yourself. Use AI as a tool, not a crutch. Create content that resonates, connects, and, most importantly, feels real.

1 个月I have the same experience - lots of content seems to be written by AI - and I loose interest immediately. I think the key is to use AI as inspiration and to come up with new ideas - but the text must be your own - and personal, as you also write :-) Very good article, by the way ?? Br. Tina
