ChatGPT vs Bard: Which is better for your business?

This week we meet again here in Tech to Sales weekly newsletter. This time I am talking about the main differences between #ChatGPT and Google's #Bard and their benefits for your business.

Just yesterday Google introduced an experimental conversational AI service, powered by LaMDA, that they’re calling Bard. You may already know about ChatGPT and I shared several posts about it. However, Bard is a newly announced topic and let me tell you what it is.

Long story short Bard is a rival to ChatGPT.

Bard seeks to combine the breadth of the world’s knowledge with the power, intelligence and creativity of Google's large language models. It draws on information from the web to provide fresh, high-quality responses.

An extra point here, Microsoft also wants to reveal its own AI. Once again they are locked in a race to rule the internet zeitgeist ;)

Now let's have a look what are the main differences between them:

• Google's AI is available everywhere, you don't have to change your search habits. It is the same as you do before but with an enhanced search engine which makes your search easier for you. Opposite to this, ChatGPT should be open on its website in order to prompt search.

1 Bard : 0 ChatGPT

• ChatGPT only knows events that happened until 2021. Despite this fact Bard's ability to include recent events in the responses and draws on information from the internet.

2 Bard : 0 ChatGPT

• It is certain that Bard has access to more data because since people have started to use Google it almost learned their behaviours and collected all data )

3 Bard : 0 ChatGPT

• Bard is based on LaMDA and it is based on true events and data. ChatGPT sometimes writes plausible-sounding but incorrect or nonsensical answers which work for content writers, marketers, and basically, those who are in the creativity field. So we can give a point to ChatGPT here.

3 Bard : 1 ChatGPT

• Last but not least, ChatGPT is available now and for free, but Bard is not ready yet to use publicly, it is only tested by testers. I hope it will be worth waiting for. At this point, we can give an extra point to ChatGPT.

3 Bard : 2 ChatGPT

It seems if the Bard is opened publicly it will hit ChatGPT in the market. However, we must use both of them, because each has its own advantages and also merging data from both will enhance the results. By the way, both are free, what else do you need?

These are all that I know at the moment. I will update you while I am getting new updates about such tools that can help you to grow your business. I am eagerly anticipating testing Bard to see what the new technology looks like after the ChatGPT breakthrough.
