Is ChatGPT a Threat to the Writers?

There has been a massive hue and cry in the internet world for the last few months on ChatGPT. People hailed it as a next-generation sensation in Web 3.0. While I research more about ChatGPT, I find a lot of interesting that Artificial Intelligence can do to human beings. In fact, the research also claimed that it can swap human needs at many jobs including writing. I was astonished to know how an AI can replace the writer. Hence, I tested ChatGPT with normal questions. Here is my conversation;

After this conversation, I find both positives and negatives with ChatGPT;

It can give a real surprise and heads-up on plot points, and story narratives. It can act as an external tool at the time of story discussion. It can be a worthy tool to give us inputs when we get struck-up on developing the story.

At the same time, it is a bot only. It cannot create the entire story from the start to scratch. It struggles to form a meaningful screenplay. It gives vague answers most of the time. It does not want to commit when I ask questions about the hardships, or earnings of the character.

Overall, I consider this as a supportive creative tool for the writer but I don’t think it can replace the intelligence and creativity that a human can bring it to the table.
