While i was using chatgpt i was fascinated about what it could do in helping a person in their learning paths. As myself i am using chatgpt on many occasions to understand any concepts, it also give me chilled to know that it can do 15-30 lines of code in just few seconds , otherwise which would have been taken around half an hour to me for the same(that too again taking help from chatgpt ??).
Its fantastic to use it as someone's personal assistant(without paying ??)but it came to my thought
what if i asked chatgpt if it will takeover Software Testing roles ?? hence the below is its answer ??
As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, while AI and automation have significantly impacted various industries, including software testing, complete automation and takeover of software testing jobs by AI models like ChatGPT are not anticipated in the near future.
AI, including natural language processing and machine learning models like ChatGPT, can assist in certain aspects of software testing by automating repetitive tasks, generating test data, aiding in test case creation, and even performing certain types of testing like regression testing and pattern recognition. However, there are aspects of software testing that involve human judgment, creativity, and domain knowledge that AI may not entirely replace.

The role of a software tester often involves not only executing test scripts but also understanding user perspectives, identifying edge cases, exploring the application's behavior, and making subjective judgments about the quality and usability of the software, which currently require human intervention.
AI can complement and enhance the work of software testers by automating routine tasks, allowing testers to focus on more complex and critical areas of testing. This symbiotic relationship between AI and human testers may lead to more efficient and effective software testing processes.
It's important to note that the advancement of AI technologies is ongoing, and the future landscape of software testing might evolve with further developments. However, at present, it's more about augmentation and collaboration between AI and human testers rather than complete replacement.
So its quite clear that Chatgpt / AI's will stay here for some time , one thing is clear :
AI will not take your job, but the person using AI will !
?? be that person.
