Is ChatGPT really the best Generative AI tool for Sales?

The AI Sales Guy - I help sales teams Sell Smarter - Sandler Trainer & HubSpot Partner
I've spent hours evaluating the top Generative AI platforms (LLMs), so you don't have to!
In order to understand which one is the best for sales.
So I could share it with you!
Before we dive in, are you signed up for my webinar next month ?
On April 16th, I am going to host a webinar and share the same presentation I gave at the Sandler Summit in Orlando, Florida (on March 19).
Even if you can't attend I will send everyone a recording after (if you sign up through here .)
The Method
I created 5 prompts to feed to each of the 6 LLMs.
Then, I ranked the output of each LLM on a scale from 1 - 100 based on the quality of the output.
And with that data, I created a spreadsheet where the score for each LLM was totaled so we can compare the 6 LLMs.
My totals may be partially biased...
But I tried to rank them based on how useful the output was and how much adjustment would be required before there was something workable.
But if you want to review the results for yourself, you can see all of the outputs as well as the total score and make your own judgements.
But there is a more concise summary at the bottom of this article.
The Prompts
Prompt #1
Can you act as an expert in sales and business development and help me identify the top 3 pain points of a VP of Sales in the manufacturing industry that manages a sales team of 10 reps and distribution network of multiple suppliers.?
Prompt #2
Can you help me create 5 unique subject lines that are more likely to be opened?
The email is to see if the prospect is interested in learning more about how to simplify their sales process with proven methodologies and AI.
Keep these options short and to the point.
Prompt #3
Act as a professional salesperson and help me identify some of the best way to find new leads.
I sell sales training, coaching, and technology to sales teams and businesses who sell a product or service to other businesses.
These are the outcomes we provide:
1. Help sales teams follow a proven methodology that delivers better results
2. Help teams implement sales technology that cuts back on the non-selling time and allows sellers more time to sell
3. Help companies align their sales strategy with their sales technology so their systems are in the flow of work and easy to use
Prompt #4
I sell sales training, coaching, and technology to sales teams and businesses who sell a product or service to other businesses.?
These are the outcomes we provide:
1. Help sales teams follow a proven methodology that delivers better results
2. Help teams implement sales technology that cuts back on the non-selling time and allows sellers more time to sell
3. Help companies align their sales strategy with their sales technology so their systems are in the flow of work and easy to us.
Please help me identify 3 different ideal client profiles based on the information above.
Prompt #5 (stacked on top of prompt 4)
Please write me an email for the first ICP and follow the following parameters.?
Create a clear and simple subject line.
1st sentence needs to evoke emotion from the recipient by describing a painful problem they are currently facing that our solution can solve.?
2nd sentence needs to describe how they are likely trying to solve that problem and why it may be insufficient.?
3rd sentence needs to describe how our solution could solve the problem presented in sentence 1 better than how they are trying to solve it as described in sentence 2.?
4th sentence needs to ask if they are interested to learn more about how we could help.?
Each email needs to be fewer than 100 words and written at a 5th grade reading level. Provide a good subject line that is likely to be opened and put the first sentence alone, the second and third sentence in a paragraph, and the fourth sentence in a new paragraph.
If you've checked out my ChatGPT whitepaper , some of these prompts might look familiar!
The Outcome
So, which LLM was the winner?
I was most impressed by the outputs from Google Gemini Pro!
Gemini Pro received 420 out of 500 total points.
The responses were concise, accurate, and needed less human adjustments to get to a usable output. I also just enjoy using the platform.
Claude 3 took second place with its accurate and humanlike outputs performing well across the 5 prompts used.
Claude 3 received 414 out of 500 total points.
And Grok surprised me and took 3rd place behind Gemini and Claude!
Grok received 403 out of 500 total points.
A few notes:
The Closing Thoughts
Did the outcome surprise you?
As someone who almost exclusively uses ChatGPT, I am going to add in a few more LLMs into my process depending on the type of work I am doing.
And while ChatGPT took 4th place, I'll continue to use it because of the different plugins and features they have built that no other LLM can currently compete with.
And even though Perplexity messed up a prompt, I actually have enjoyed using that LLM in the past as well.
Are you going to try out a different Generative AI tool after seeing these results?
Good Selling,

7 个月I've tried chat gpt but I honestly find other ai tools easier to use and more trustworthy in the long run. The one I use the most (textcortex) has something called zeno mode, in which zeno basically writes about anything you could not find a template for in their creator suite. Pretty fun to use :)
