ChatGPT - Python and Word

The buzz surrounding ChatGPT is growing, and it seems like everyone around me is talking about it. Curiosity got the better of me, and I couldn't resist delving into the world of ChatGPT. I listened to lectures on YouTube and created an account to explore its capabilities. In this paper, I aim to share my experience with ChatGPT.

Initially, I used ChatGPT to check my English grammar. It helped me correct my essays and even this very test. I also heard that ChatGPT can assist with programming code, so I decided to put it to the test. I became interested in computer vision, specifically openCV. My goal was to write code that measures displacement in the X and Y directions from camera video footage. While these ideas are not new, I had previous experience using commercial software by Imetrum during my time at RTU. I spent two days searching for information and Python code, and I found an article with open code that aligned with my objectives. It was time to consult ChatGPT. I had specific criteria, and ChatGPT was able to create and find Python code that met my needs. I had to adapt the code to fit my idea, and I appreciated the ability to submit errors to ChatGPT and receive helpful answers. While Google is a viable option for searching, it often provides additional information that requires deeper analysis.

Now, my next step is to analyze the displacement array data from the code, which was written by ChatGPT. I need to understand how camera resolution affects displacement and optimize the code to measure displacement in millimeters rather than pixels.

In conclusion, ChatGPT has proven to be a valuable tool for improving English grammar and assisting with programming code. However, further study is necessary to fully explore its potential in this area.

P.S. You can find the program code on my GitHub repository.
