Hello, friends! This week, we're diving back into the world of AI with the latest on ChatGPT - the Team Plan. It's a fresh look at how this plan elevates teamwork and productivity over the Plus version. I've tested it out to see what it's really like, and I'm eager to share my experiences - from the initial setup to its impact on daily collaboration.

?? This Week’s Spotlight: ChatGPT Team Plan

In a significant upgrade from ChatGPT Plus, OpenAI introduced the ChatGPT Team plan, a suite designed to cater to the collaborative and advanced needs of businesses and teams. This new offering not only expanded access to the cutting-edge capabilities of GPT-4 but also integrates a host of powerful tools and features designed to enhance productivity, creativity, and data analysis.

Here's what you need to know in a nutshell:

• Upgraded Access: ChatGPT Teams plan participants gain access to GPT-4, which boasts a 32K context window, enabling more detailed and extensive conversations.
• Advanced Tools: The plan includes access to DALL·E 3, GPT-4 with Vision, Browsing capabilities, and Advanced Data Analysis tools—all with higher message caps compared to the Plus version.
• Privacy and Security: With the Teams plan, there's no training on your business data or conversations, ensuring a secure workspace for your team.
• Collaboration and Customisation: Create and share custom GPT models within your workspace, enhancing teamwork and project specificity.
• Admin Console: An admin console for comprehensive workspace and team management is available, making it easier to oversee team activities and permissions.
• Early Access: Teams plan members get early access to new features and improvements, keeping your team ahead of the curve in leveraging AI capabilities.
• Increased Interaction Limit: The plan offers a substantial increase in interaction limits, allowing for 100 messages every 3 hours, up from 40 messages in the Plus version.
• Flexible Team Size: The Teams plan is designed to accommodate a minimum of 2 users and can scale up to 149 users.
• Enterprise Options: For larger organisations with 150+ users, an Enterprise option is available, tailored to meet the needs of large-scale operations.

??My Journey with Transitioning to ChatGPT Team Plan

I've recently made the switch from the Plus to the Team Plan. This brief journey sheds light on the process to perform this transition.

??The Preparation: The first step was to navigate the setup process, which, while straightforward, required careful consideration of the nuances involved in migrating from an individual to a team-based platform. This phase was crucial for laying the foundation of a collaborative environment.

From the profile icon on left of ChatGPT, select My Plan:

Then Team option is shown:

The a request to create workspace which can be changed in the future:

Then select number of seats needed and whether to go with the Annual plan or Flexible plan. I have selected the Flexible plan for now.

Then the billing option is shown where I completed the details.

?? Team Formation: Once the platform is set, inviting members is the next step. This process is not just about adding users but strategically defining roles within the team to streamline operations and foster a collaborative workspace.

Once, I have completed the payment, another screen popped up to invite members. This can be done any time later too.

I can type in emails directly in the box or upload a CSV with emails and their roles.

Team Roles in a nutshell are the Owner; is the highest privileged role, then Admin then Member.

Now that I have two accounts, Plus and Team accounts, I will share some details I have received and actions I have taken.

??Logging to ChatGPT

Since I have two accounts, I was given the options to select which workspace to select. Note that you can switch between the two in the same ChatGPT screen.

Then the options to transfer the personal account to the team account or stay as is.

?? Do not merge Personal and Team accounts until you watch this video from Skills Leap AI and also check this OpenAI documentation. This can be done at a later stage if decided to merge. Just in the Settings as

Then the question "What's your primary role?". I believe this is like custom instructions, it will let ChatGPT tailor responses based on the role.
