ChatGPT: The Next Generation of Chatbots

ChatGPT was launched by California-based OpenAI, co-founded by Elon Musk, at the end of November 2022. The bot can respond to comments and requests in a conversational way, asking follow-up questions and rejecting requests that are inappropriate.

Open AI says the bot sometimes writes plausible-sounding but nonsensical answers. Fixing that will be hard because it has "no source of truth".

For Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF), a human AI trainer played both sides of conversations—the user and the AI assistant. To write their answers, they got model-written suggestions. To build a reinforcement learning reward model, they collected comparison data, which consisted of two or more model responses ranked by quality.

?Despite many limitations, it has been an amazing start

• It's not reliable for generating accurate data. Because it only tries to predict what words to follow the previous word in a paragraph on a given topic based on its knowledge-based feeds. There is no single source of truth, but it's a handy reference when you are familiar with a topic.
• There are biases in the training data and the way it starts and ends a response. I believe this will improve in the near future based on its current usage.
• Current models usually guess what the user intends to say when they receive an ambiguous query from a user. The model usually refers to previous inquiries in the same thread, but sometimes jumps to a completely different topic. It should ask for clarifying questions.
• It's designed to reject inappropriate requests, so you don't get graphic violence, explicit sex, or harmful content like explosive instructions.
• Currently, ChatGPT doesn't have any content created after 2021, so if your content needs to be fresh and current, it may not work for you.?I believe this can be fixed in near future with the amount of processing power we have.
