ChatGPT & Me: I Don’t Feel So Smart Any More

ChatGPT & Me: I Don’t Feel So Smart Any More

It is a funny thing about artificial intelligence software.

The more you use it, the dumber you feel.

At first you question what will change because of it.

And then you wonder what won’t.

A spiraling loop of deflating self-confidence continues until you hit an important question at the end of all this:

What will all this mean for me personally? Can ChatGPT do my job?

I checked my ego at the door, logged in and found out.

Can ChatGPT Do JJ’s Job?

(Please Don’t Show This to Work)

The mission in platform strategy at Horizontal Digital is to implement software and teach people how to find enterprise value in the tools they use.

Horizontal itself does a lot more than that, but I could describe a lot of what I do for clients as helping them find value in the software they bought to solve the customers, employees and partners problems.

After all, this is a new Attention Economy.

Customers expect concierge digital treatment where they go – online and offline.

So organizations and employees are going to have to step up.

I'm one of them.

A Day In My Life

My job recently has involved a lot of conversations about centralized digital content operations and headless content delivery, two topics that are still head-scratchers for many digital marketers - the core audience for Sitecore Content Hub, an application I configure and support at work.

Headless relies on the concept of Atomic Content, which is structured content divided into types and broken into fields that can be used a gazillion different ways in digital publishing.

Website. Check.

Alexa. Check.

Apple Watch. Check.

You name it, a headless CMS can likely deliver it.

But the headless approach relies on marketing and development teams to fundamentally reset their thinking about digital publishing.

Teams must embrace a data-first mentality because headless relies on a solid data layer as its core so content repurposing, or regeneration, can be executed at scale from a centralized location.

Assignment: Write and Promote a Story on Creative Automation

(The following scenario is fiction, but I needed a device so roll with me, please).

I’ve been writing a lot about Atomic Content lately and I had an assignment due.

My boss had asked me to put together a social media promotion plan for an article about creative automation, the use of brand-approved data and assets (images, videos, 3D assets and more) in print collateral that is produced at scale using tools like Content Hub.

The problem was that I hadn’t written the article yet.

ChatGPT, can we start at the beginning?

Will you do my job for me please?

The Importance of Creative Automation in Sitecore Content Hub

Introduction

Sitecore Content Hub is a powerful tool for managing, organizing, and distributing content across a variety of channels. However, in order to fully leverage its capabilities, it is important to incorporate creative automation into the content creation process. This article will explore the benefits of creative automation in Sitecore Content Hub and provide some tips for getting started.

Benefits of Creative Automation

One of the main benefits of creative automation is that it can significantly increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the content creation process. By automating repetitive tasks, such as data entry and formatting, content creators can focus on more strategic and creative tasks. This not only saves time, but also reduces the risk of errors and inconsistencies.

Another benefit of creative automation is that it can help to ensure that content is always up-to-date and relevant. For example, by automating the process of pulling in data from external sources, such as social media or news feeds, content creators can quickly and easily incorporate the latest information into their content.

Additionally, creative automation can help to improve the overall quality of the content by providing a more consistent and polished look and feel. For example, by using templates and styles, content creators can ensure that all of the content adheres to the same design and branding guidelines.

Then I thought, hey, I haven't created content for the website yet.
