ChatGPT to make visual flow-charts to learn and strategize anything.

Through my experimentation with ChatGPT, I have been able to accomplish some remarkable tasks such as aiding in the creation of job listings and resumes, assisting with copywriting, and providing valuable strategic advice.

Recently, I discovered my favorite new use-case for ChatGPT: creating flowcharts. While ChatGPT is a text-based chatbot and cannot generate visuals, it excels at coding. This is where mermaid.js comes in handy; it is a language that enables you to code visually appealing diagrams.

By using this prompt:

"Generate a flowchart using valid mermaid.js syntax that outlines the process of _______"

I first asked it this:

"Generate a flowchart using valid mermaid.js syntax that outlines the process of launching and running an e-commerce dropshipping business."

I then put the code into mermaid.live, a visual editor for mermaid.js to now create the actual diagram.

The initial response lacked sufficient detail and was quite rudimentary, despite containing a brief explanation. However, it is worth noting that ChatGPT is capable of tracking entire conversations and can refine and expand on previous responses. To take advantage of this feature, I guided the conversation towards specific topics and encouraged ChatGPT to provide more in-depth explanations by saying stuff like this:

"Can you go into more detail on paid media buying on facebook?"

"Can you get into the process of building out the store on shopify?"

"Can you also demonstrate the process not only on facebook but other platforms like Tiktok?

After around five minutes of further conversation I got this:

By asking ChatGPT a series of questions, I received a comprehensive guide on the steps involved in product selection, supplier identification, online store building, and multi-channel marketing. As a visual learner, I find this approach highly effective in simplifying complex concepts and making it easier for me to quickly visualize the necessary actions.

One example of such a visualization is the diagram provided below, which offers a broad overview of media buying on TikTok.

The diagram serves as a valuable tool for me in knowing when to conduct research on specific topics. For instance, if I want to run TikTok ads but have little experience, I can easily identify that I need to learn about creating a campaign, segmenting audiences, developing bidding strategies, and enhancing creative strategies.

This theoretically can be applied to virtually any industry/subject.

Another example, I had a conversation with it to build a flowchart on starting a restaurant.

Exploring this feature has been an incredibly helpful experience. Whenever I encountered any issues, I could simply communicate with ChatGPT and have the problem resolved or the answer refined. The only challenge I faced with the flowcharts was a limitation on the character count when trying to incorporate excessive details. Nevertheless, this obstacle can be easily overcome by creating a separate flowchart for each specific topic, rather than expanding continuously on the original one.

The potential of this feature seems endless, and I can only imagine that with a jailbroken version of ChatGPT, it would be capable of teaching anything through the creation of flowcharts. I truly believe this represents the future of learning and information sharing.
