There is too much of chatGPT conversions going on. For sure it disrupted our conversations in IT industry and else where too. The real question is whether chat GPT is a thing or like many other things that flash for some time and then disappear?
For sure, I agree, there need to be better solutions but what does it mean? I hate when my voice assistant thinks I am asking it to "Shut up" when I ask it to call "Sharath", My son wanted to be lazy and asked "Okay Google, what is 9 divided by 11" and google decided to say "according to wikipedia 911" and so on. The hard and harsh reality is that our tools are good to play songs and play word games or do a story reading for real kids or kids inside of adults. Can we really count on these tools?
Providing information to needy involves multiple parts.
First Half
As I see 50% of the what we need is something that understands what user wants. Once we frame correct question in text format, then half of the problem is solved. understanding user context, dialect, tone and intended need is really helpful. If there is such a tool to solve it,I do not mind seeing 10 results in google home page, we never thought that is ever a problem to start with while it is nice to have a single answer.
The voice assistants that are in ALWAYS ON mode, probably need to better job to learn about voices while meeting all compliance worries about data sharing.

Searching content
Searching all of the information sources and finding answers for the question/need.
Presenting content
How we present matters, simple, quick presentation is what made google so great.
I don't need someone data sit me by giving a singular answer, it is more like autonomous driving, as much as it is nice to have, if that is what we all forced to, we may be hating it and the worst part could be , as we get used to, we will be losing essential human skills. As we stop using our inherent skills, we become dumber and I sincerly hoping that fear wont go beyond movies like Idiocracy
