From an engineer to an artist, from a CEO sitting behind her desk or a college going student, everyone has one savior- Chatgpt. The ease to which it’s accessible and its usefulness, has made it an astonishing success in the AI adapting world. But does it have its drawbacks as well? How is it HELPING to disrupt human capabilities?
But What is Chatgpt?
ChatGPT is a chatbot?created by US-based artificial intelligence company OpenAI. When you ask ChatGPT a question, it draws on a huge body of textual data — large chunks of content found on the Internet, many books, all of Wikipedia — to provide you with a human-like answer to it. You can also ask ChatGPT to create content for you — it can write poems, create computer code, translate languages, provide article structures and do much else besides.
According to researchers, ChatGPT currently has?more than 100 million users, a milestone reached a little over two months after it was first launched. This makes it?the fastest-growing consumer software application ever.?This broad user base is not limited to any industry. From designers to coders, from making marketing strategies to making financial statements, it’s all on the table!
How does it affect Human capabilities?
We all are familiar with Einstein’s predictions on humans relying too much on machines and resulting in the end of the world. I mean, ?a global scholar won’t just blabber it right?
Creative thinking works with the concept of ideation and improvisation of that idea. That’s exactly what chatgpt can help you do in seconds! If a designer’s first instinct is to go to chatbot and get the idea, her core creativity is limited to some extends.

Many creators are voting against the use of AI tools in creative thinking because they view the machine generated responses as nothing exceptionally unique rather an augmented algorithmic responses. In this way, there won’t be innovation of new ways of doing things but the repetitive strategies put down by all.
In the long run, this can drastically affect the thinking capacities of humans and thus might pose a challenge.
How to use Chatgpt to your advantage?
While AI tools can be handy and prove highly productive, they are not made to replace human creativity. These were made to assist and curate suggestions, ideas and inspirations that could be used by people to better their productivity.
The heavy and unrestricted reliance on AI is the issue and not the AI. People need to keep in mind the purpose and limits to AI. It is still not a 100% guaranteed tool. It needs human supervision and consultative eyesight.
It is important to note that these are just some anticipated reasons to how chatgpt can hinder the thinking capabilities. However, the decision to use or not to use such tools is a personal choice which highly depends on individual’s goals and interest.
