Most of us would agree that ChatGPT-4 has revolutionized the human experience because of its ability to produce information (both in text format and images) with just a prompt.?Like all new discoveries there are benefits and deficits. For some software engineers and developers it's another tool, and to others "it's going to take away jobs." Whether or not that's true, it sure has upset some of my friends who are teachers, because more and more assignments are being submitted with ChatGPT as the author and not the student. Hence, with all new technology comes the good, the bad and the frustrating. Sadly, kids today will never know the joy of writing a term paper using outdated encyclopedias as the core source of information. (Shout out to all GenX'rs).

Curious, I asked a few to share how ChatGPT is helping them in their current projects. What I learned is that ChatGPT is limitless in it's possibilities and a game changer that makes coding, learning languages, design and DevSecOps better.
- Most of the team like to combine JavaScript and HTML5 into a single prompt in Chat GPT-4 to create simple games. Others like to show-off their JS coding skills, and make mini-games for their portfolios that are straightforwards and easily modified.
- One designer told me that ChatGPT can create 3D graphics with just one prompt, making the process easier and faster. Additionally, from what I’ve heard, the 3D models are identical to the real thing.
- To a ton of people I spoke with, ChatGPT is more of a teacher than anything else, especially when learning coding and programming languages. One of my friends said she shares code to the bot and asks it to problem solve along the way. This will be huge for DevSecOps, because it finds the issues along way, instead of at the end of the process. ?
- Last week I spoke with DevSecOps developers who reported that more and more businesses are utilizing it and putting security first when coding or creating applications. As noted above, using ChatGPT to test code at the beginning of the process is a game changer. Not only does it help identify weaknesses, but allows for greater quality control.?
- Apparently, Extensions are a pain, but with the help of ChatGPT they are more productive by automating or accelerating the boring stuff that comes with coding. ?
- Last year, I learned that "Data" is everything in 2023. ChatGPT helps make transactional data quicker, easier and less costly than the current apps in use today. ?
- Reports are easier to produce using ChatGPT because it dissects data and offers analysis that’s often overlooked by humans. Plus, for those who aren’t comfortable with Excel, ChatGPT makes the experience so much easier.?
- Draw it and ChatGPT can transform it into an operational website. All you have to do is upload images, and then ask the bot a few questions based on the image. It will take your chicken scratched stick figures and transform the images.?
- ChatGPT is a UI designer, developer and web developers new best friend. Since GPT it is based on the visual experience, it is better able to assess the viewers experience, and then outline ways to improve it, regardless of whether you are interfacing with an app, video, website or game.?
- Learning languages has become a whole lot easier with ChatGPT (coding and spoken). New coders are moving through the learning easier than their counterparts, and my friends who are learning Spanish said it’s taken the experience to a new level.
