ChatGPT, AI and Corporate Trainings
Adapting Corporate Training in the AI Environment
Corporate trainers face an uphill battle in the digital landscape. They must understand how digital solutions influence employee performance and attitudes. The growing alienation caused by digital revolution can lead to psychological issues among employees, affecting their ability to navigate change, lead teams, provide feedback, and handle customer interactions. While online resources offer relevant material on these topics, organizations must recognize that humans possess unique capabilities that machines lack.

WFH adds miseries to Corporate Trainings – Post-Covid Era
The emergence of remote work options, virtual meetings through platforms like Zoom and Skype, and other digital alternatives has posed new challenges for corporate trainers in the post-Covid-19 era. With the shift to work from home, trainers are faced with the task of delivering engaging and interactive training sessions in a virtual environment. Building rapport and establishing a connection with trainees becomes more challenging when communication is mediated through screens. Trainers must find innovative ways to keep participants actively engaged and maintain their attention during online sessions. Additionally, the absence of physical presence can make it harder to gauge participants' reactions and adjust the training accordingly. Creating a sense of community and fostering collaboration among trainees, which was easier to achieve in physical training settings, now requires additional effort and strategic facilitation. Overcoming these obstacles and ensuring effective skill development in a virtual context is the new frontier for corporate trainers.

ChatGPT and Corporate Trainings
Corporate trainers are facing new challenges with the advent of ChatGPT. This advanced language model can generate text that closely resembles human conversation. Trainees can learn from ChatGPT what they are supposed to learn in the training room. What ChatGPT does not offer is the human part. To address this challenge, trainers need to adapt their approach to ensure productive and engaging training sessions. By focusing on experiential learning activities, role-plays, and case studies, trainers can create opportunities for trainees to actively practice and apply their skills. Moreover, trainers can leverage the strengths of ChatGPT by incorporating it as a supplementary resource, encouraging trainees to use it for additional knowledge and insights while emphasizing the importance of practical application and critical thinking. By blending technology with interactive training methods, trainers can create a dynamic learning experience that goes beyond what ChatGPT offers, ensuring trainees develop essential skills that can't be fully acquired through text-based AI platforms alone.

AI Platform complement or compete with Corporate Trainers
While AI platforms can provide valuable resources and support for various aspects of learning, it is important to note that they cannot fully replace the role of corporate trainings. AI platforms can enhance the learning experience and provide additional knowledge, but they cannot replicate the interpersonal interactions and customized guidance that trainers offer. That being said, some AI platforms that can complement corporate trainings include:
·????????ChatGPT: An advanced language model that can simulate human-like conversation and provide information on a wide range of topics.
·????????Video-based Learning Platforms: Platforms that offer video tutorials, demonstrations, and role-playing scenarios can support trainees in observing and learning from real-life examples.
·????????Gamification Platforms: These platforms incorporate game-like elements to make the learning process more engaging and interactive, helping trainees develop skills in a fun and stimulating way.
There are more AI platforms including VR (Virtual Reality) and Speech Recognition tools that help trainees learn by allowing them to go with their own pace however Pakistani corporate sector is not getting much of the benefits from these platforms.
All of the AI platforms can be valuable additions to the learning journey however, in the absence of expert trainers, these platforms would not be able to provide personalized guidance, contextualize the training content, and facilitate meaningful interactions.

Challenges that AI brings to Corporate Trainings
AI brings several challenges for corporate trainers. Here are some of the key challenges:
·????????Lack of Human Interaction: AI platforms typically lack the human touch and interpersonal interaction that corporate training heavily relies on. Soft skills, such as communication, emotional intelligence, leadership, and relationship building, require human connection, empathy, and understanding that AI struggles to replicate.
·????????Contextual Understanding: AI may face difficulties in understanding the nuances and delicacies of human communication. Soft skills often involve interpreting non-verbal cues, tone of voice, body language, and contextual understanding, which can be challenging for AI systems to accurately grasp and respond to.
·????????Personalization and Adaptability: Corporate training is highly individualized, as each trainee may have unique strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. AI platforms may struggle to provide personalized feedback, coaching, and adaptability to meet the specific needs of each learner.
·????????Emotional Intelligence and Empathy: Soft skills training often focuses on emotional intelligence, empathy, and understanding others' perspectives. AI lacks human emotions and may struggle to provide the same level of emotional support, empathy, and guidance that human trainers can offer.
·????????Dynamic and Interactive Learning: Soft skills development often involves interactive activities, role-playing, group discussions, and dynamic learning experiences. AI platforms may have limitations in creating such dynamic and interactive learning environments, hindering the practical application and real-time feedback that soft skills training requires.
To address these challenges, trainers should focus on leveraging AI as a complementary tool rather than a complete replacement. They can incorporate AI-based resources for knowledge sharing, self-paced learning, and providing additional resources. Trainers should emphasize the importance of human interaction, facilitate meaningful discussions, provide personalized feedback, and create engaging learning experiences that cannot be fully replicated by AI. By combining the strengths of AI with human expertise and interaction, trainers can ensure the effectiveness and relevance of corporate training in the age of AI.

Never Forget…
In the business world, it is important to understand that AI is not meant to compete with training professionals; rather, it serves as a valuable complement to their expertise. The key lies in trainers' ability to harness AI's potential and extract maximum benefit from it. By leveraging AI technologies effectively, trainers can enhance their training programs, augment their capabilities, and deliver more impactful learning experiences. AI can provide valuable resources, tools, and data-driven insights that trainers can utilize to personalize training, improve efficiency, and address specific skill gaps. The successful integration of AI into training strategies requires trainers to have a deep understanding of AI's capabilities and the foresight to use it as a supportive tool, ultimately empowering them to deliver exceptional training outcomes.
