ChatGPT.....?
OpenAI created ChatGPT, a chatbot that went live on November 30, 2022. It allows users to fine-tune and direct a conversation toward a particular duration, format, style, level of information, and language based on large language models (LLMs). At each level of the interaction, the user's prompts and responses are taken into account as context. The artificial intelligence (AI) boom, which has resulted in continuous, fast investment in and public awareness of the area, is attributed to ChatGPT. It gained over 100 million users by January 2023, making it the fastest-growing consumer software product in history. This helped to boost OpenAI's worth to its current $80 billion. After ChatGPT was released, rival products like Gemini, Ernie, LLaMA, Claude, and Grok were also released. Launched by Microsoft, Copilot is based on GPT-4 from OpenAI. Concerns were expressed by several observers regarding ChatGPT's and related applications' ability to undermine or atrophy human intelligence, facilitate plagiarism, or spread false information. Based on OpenAI's own range of generative pre-trained transformer (GPT) models, ChatGPT leverages a combination of supervised learning and reinforcement learning from human input to fine-tune it for conversational applications. Originally offered as a free research preview, OpenAI now runs ChatGPT on a freemium business model in light of the service's growing popularity. The GPT-3.5-based version is available to users on its free tier, while the more sophisticated GPT-4 and other capabilities are only available as part of the "ChatGPT Plus" paying subscription service.

While mimicking a human conversationalist is a chatbot's primary role, ChatGPT is flexible. It is capable of writing and debugging software; Write plays, songs, music videos, and essays for students; Come up with business ideas; Write poetry and song lyrics; Translate and summarize literature; Answer test questions (occasionally, depending on the test, at a level above the typical human test-taker); play games like tic tac toe, mimic an ATM, mimic a Linux system, or replicate whole chat groups. In contrast to Instruct GPT, ChatGPT aims to minimize negative and dishonest responses. As an illustration, Instruct GPT takes the prompt "Tell me about when Christopher Columbus came to the U.S. in 2015" as true, but ChatGPT recognizes that the query is counterfactual and presents its response. Only a certain amount of prior prompts in the same chat are retained by ChatGPT. According to journalistic speculation, this will enable ChatGPT to function as a customized therapist. Queries passing through the OpenAI "Moderation endpoint" API (a distinct GPT-based AI) are filtered to avoid offensive outputs from being submitted to and produced by ChatGPT. OpenAI implemented support for ChatGPT plugins in March 2023. This covers both external plugins from developers like Expedia, OpenTable, Zapier, Shopify, Slack, and Wolfram, as well as plugins created by OpenAI, like web browsing and code interpretation. OpenAI introduced ChatGPT Plus, a premium service that costs $20 a month, in February 2023. The company promised faster response times, priority access to new features, no downtime, access during peak hours, and an updated but "experimental" version of ChatGPT. GPT-4, which was made available via API and for ChatGPT premium subscribers, was released on March 14, 2023. However, due to rising demand, the ceiling for premium users was tightened to 25 messages every three hours, from a maximum of 100 messages every four hours. The cap was raised to 50 texts every three hours in November 2023.Users of ChatGPT Plus gained access to a browsing mode (with Internet connectivity) and third-party plugins in March 2023. OpenAI declared that ChatGPT "can now see, hear, and speak" in September 2023. Users of the mobile app can converse with the chatbot, while users of ChatGPT Plus can add photographs. The most recent picture generating model from OpenAI, DALL-E 3, was incorporated into ChatGPT Plus and ChatGPT Enterprise in October 2023. The integration writes DALL-E prompts using ChatGPT, guided by user conversations.
