ChatGPT 4o and its conversation feature

ChatGPT 4o has an interesting feature and its particularly useful for non-English speakers. So far AI has largely been an English keyboard limited phenomenon. But this conversation feature, the headphone symbol below can change all that! Here are a few use cases I have found for this -

True conversation -

You want to prepare for a presentation, a recruitment interview or so? Well ChatGPT can help you there. This is where the category of AI chatbots really start diffferentiating themselves from search . I loved the interactivity and it feels like your are conversing with a helpful friend. Do try this for say a mock rehearsal for a client meeting or a one on one conversation prep assistant.

Multi lingual questions -

A lot of people in general aren't exactly single language speakers. In India for example, a lot of people speak Hinglish - a mix of Hindi and English. This is where the conversational assistant can help. It can help non English or non native speakers actually convey exactly what they want. While the 4o demo talked about translations, the real usecase might be this.

Live brain storming

I have personally found this to be very useful. I was creating a plan for this new asset online for our website and brain storming works very well. You can literally listen to the AI and then improvise your discussion. This feels like Prompting on steroids! Here's an example -

Understanding meaning of complex texts -

A lot of times, understanding the meanings or interpretations of poems can be challenging. In this, the conversation feature is incredibly useful. I was trying to explain my 9 year old an English poem, ChatGPT brought out a nuance or an interpretation that I hadn't brought out earlier.
