The real benefits of ChatGPT cannot be found in it doing work for you, but rather by you working collaboratively with it.

Have you ever wondered how AI can assist you in your day-to-day work? As a seasoned technology professional, I recently took a sabbatical, which has given me some time to explore this very question. What I discovered was groundbreaking.

Through the use of ChatGPT-4, I was able to prototype a dependency-oriented project management tool. I did so primarily by means of using ChatGPT-4 as an assistant rather than simply giving it commands for individual tasks. This was a personal learning project, but the results were more than impressive. As an AI assistant, it collaborated with me on devising a solution, suggesting technologies and algorithms, and helping me understand the tradeoffs of different tooling choices. With its assistance, I was able to finish the initial working prototype with ease in just 2 - 3 hours.

What's even more exciting is that the project is just an early-stage prototype. As I explored the capabilities of ChatGPT-4, I realized that this type of technology is capable of so much more.

I see this AI tool moving towards a more collaborative and proactive posture. With its help, you can better leverage your time, skillset, and resources exponentially. The possibilities are endless.

As Archimedes famously said, "Give me a place to stand and with a lever I will move the whole world." I believe that AI is that lever. With its assistance, we can achieve greater efficiency, productivity, and innovation.
