ChatGPT 4 is here!
OpenAI's GPT-4 is the most advanced language model, offering safer and more useful responses. It boasts improved creativity, visual input capabilities, and longer context understanding. GPT-4 outperforms its predecessor, ChatGPT, in areas such as advanced reasoning, problem-solving, and scoring in various tests. The development of GPT-4 focused on safety and alignment, with a significant decrease in responses to disallowed content and an increase in factual response likelihood compared to GPT-3.5. OpenAI has collaborated with organizations like Duolingo, Be My Eyes, Stripe, Morgan Stanley, Khan Academy, and the Government of Iceland to integrate GPT-4 into their products.
GPT-4 is available on ChatGPT Plus and as an API for developers. OpenAI continues to work on addressing GPT-4's limitations, such as social biases, hallucinations, and adversarial prompts, and aims to expand user input in shaping the model.
Visual inputs
GPT-4 can accept a prompt of text and images, which—parallel to the text-only setting—lets the user specify any vision or language task. Specifically, it generates text outputs (natural language, code, etc.) given inputs consisting of interspersed text and images. Over a range of domains—including documents with text and photographs, diagrams, or screenshots—GPT-4 exhibits similar capabilities as it does on text-only inputs. Furthermore, it can be augmented with test-time techniques that were developed for text-only language models, including few-shot and?chain-of-thought?prompting. Image inputs are still a research preview and not publicly available.GPT-4 is currently in a limited beta and only accessible to those who have been granted access. Please?join the waitlist?to get access when capacity is available.GPT-4 can handle 8,192 tokens (model: gpt-4), and 32,768 tokens (model: gpt-4-32k) depending on the model chosen. Super important when optimizing the prompt with few shot examples to provide accurate answers. Both models use training data Training data up to Sept 2021.
