"Chat, Learn, Grow"

Over the past 1000 days, I've had the incredible privilege of engaging in 500+ one-on-one sessions with dynamic young entrepreneurs and corporate executives. I believe that one should learn from someone else's mistakes and I have made dozens of those and continue to make.

I'm opening my calendar for learning sessions. Whether you're a budding entrepreneur, a corporate warrior, or someone navigating the twists of life, I'm here to share my learnings, insights, and hopefully some tips.

If you're interested, simply schedule a session using this link. To ensure we make the most of our time, I kindly request participants to consider making a donation to the YouInYou Foundation , (Details of the donation at the end of the note) my partner NGO supporting underprivileged children's education. Let's pay it forward!

Now, for those who are unfamiliar with my journey, feel free to peruse this lengthy note. It will give you a glimpse into whether I can genuinely add value to your life in just 30 minutes.

************************My Introduction- A Long Note*************************

I am a senior executive, working with a bunch of smart friends and colleagues to make education work for every student at Sunstone and also helping students become entrepreneurs at HostelFund Here's a snapshot of who I am, my strengths, weaknesses, and the path I've tread so far.

Strengths:

  1. Quick Decision Maker: In my world, action triumphs over perfection.
  2. Relationship Builder: I value heart over head,
  3. Data Lover: Dashboards are my playground; I prefer data over English.
  4. Conversationalist: I thrive on meaningful conversations over fake Hellos
  5. Constant Learner: While not a born intellect or an inherently curious soul, I embrace the art of rapid learning.
  6. Business-Oriented: My focus is on business, revenue, scale, and profits, prioritizing them over mere strategy.

Still Learning:

  1. Not a Born Scholar: Despite a disciplined early life, I never considered myself a naturally curious or knowledgeable person.
  2. Jack of All Trades: I've dabbled in various fields but never mastered one, earning accolades but lacking a personal brand. I am not a master
  3. What is Out of Box Thinking: I am not the one in the room, who comes with new or unconventional ideas- But I am the one who makes it happen.

What I've Done:

  1. Academic Journey: Academically strong student born in Jammu to engineering from S V National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat (NIT, Surat) and to MBA from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad , always opted for the safe and steady path
  2. Always a Doer: National-level badminton, state-level kabaddi, TT, Skating player- Loves sports. Part of various clubs and committees, organizations, part-time, voluntary- Love being a part of various groups and meetups. Love traveling, Hiking, and being on the road with sales and marketing folks to understand what customer wants.
  3. Professional Journey: unlike my academic journey, started taking risks from buying a franchise of a coaching institute (CAT Coaching) in 2005 (final year of Engineering) to starting up India's first Education Institute on SecondLife in 2009 Connect2MBA tonot sitting on campus in placements but joining a small ed-tech company in 2010 Liqvid to moving to airtel to head their m-education business in 2013, (when no one was talking about ed-tech) and then learning the traits of large teams, retail operations, national-level sales, operations and marketing with Airtel's Retail team to joining 亚马逊 in their Prime Now team to then launching India's first student Fund HostelFund to starting my own shirting company @G&G (I have 1000 shirts of my own and wear them ;) to consulting many startups and MSMEs to finally joining my batchmates from IMT Ashish Munjal Piyush Nangru to make education work for everyone because whatever today we are, we owe it to Education. Life has been a full circle for me in a literal sense.

Professional Focus- Still learning and I need help:

  1. Quality Decision Making: As a senior executive, I make tens of decisions every day- learning to make quality, effective, and fast decisions
  2. Team Building: Learning to cultivate a culture that retains top, ambitious talent.
  3. Growth with Profitability: I know how to build teams, scale businesses, and pivot models but have yet to figure out a framework to build a scalable-large-profitable business

My Short-Term Goals (Next 24 Months):

  1. Professional: Build a profitable, scalable business that leaves a mark.
  2. Personal: Live with fewer regrets, day by day.
  3. Physical: Shed that excess body fat.
  4. Organizational: Create meaningful growth opportunities for working moms
