Chasing Excellence in a perfectionist world……

Excellence: the quality of being outstanding or extremely good.

Perfection: the condition, state, or quality of being free or as free as possible from all flaws or defects.

Perfection is an unrealistic expectation of others and ourselves because it doesn’t exist in the whole picture. Time always draws out peoples insecurities weak spots and imperfections. The only way to get to where we are going is to fail and get back up. Yet it is the area where many get stuck. Exploring perfection seems to always be a little bit of good luck, ability, work and an act or fa?ade. Trying to appear a certain way to others and sometimes fooling ourselves. Problem with the perfection syndrome is this: since it cannot be obtained when you fail it will hold you back from getting back up. The safe zone lies in doing only what you know. THERE IS NO ROOM FOR GROWTH. You become paralyzed by not only other's but your very own judgements.

Excellence however requires only work, work that will be judged and some days you win some days you lose but every time you give your all. EVERYTIME.

There is a inability to give excuses. There is this slow and steady consistence. Overtime people come to not only trust but value the consistency that comes from this fruit.

To be fueled by excellence you have to have broad enough shoulders because when you fall .... and you will....right on your face …. judgement will come. It will come from your peers, those around you and those you trust most..... If your not careful you will stop in your pursuit to live a passionate life. One you can value and appreciate. Your vision has to be set on the big picture not in the moment. Know every time you fall flat on your face you will get back up smarter and stronger to push on. FALLING IS GOOD no matter how painful it feels.

Walk not by what you see in the moment but by the dream in your heart.
