Here is the interpretation I give to this quote by Oscar Wilde: We all face the same challenges but few people look past the challenges to their dreams. What do you do when life throws you a punch in the face? Sure you will stagger. Even more probable is the fact that you will fall because life does throw a very hard punch. The question is: Will you get back up? Obstacles are real but even more real is the fact that your will is more powerful. Do you throw your dreams in the gutters and let people walk all over them? Never allow people who gave up on their dreams convince you to give up on yours.

Do you easily give up and play the blame game? If you do then you are up for a very unfruitful life. What goals do you set for yourself daily that brings you closer to your dreams? Are you “stuck” in a situation you believe you can’t change? You tell yourself lies about why you can’t chase your dreams. Listen there are people who have gone against the odds in an even worse situation. There has never been a great person with an easy past. The scars we despise and abhor are actually guiding stars and only when we push through to the end do we get to realize this truth.

Get up! Get on with it! You don’t like where you are then move!? You are not a tree. They say a leopard cannot change its spots but you are no leopard. You are human and you have the capacity to change. Humans have an incredible capacity to change and to persevere.? Humans have been known to endure the most brutal of tasks, trainings and situations.

Remember that every moment is a moment for courage. Do it now.
