During the event, Knutsen NYK Carbon Carriers AS (KNCC) revealed its intention to order liquefied carbon dioxide (LCO2) carriers featuring its unique containment system. Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) received a significant boost during Nor-Shipping as the Korean Register Korean Register (KR) granted approval for its 40,000 m3 liquefied carbon dioxide (LCO2) carrier design. This milestone showcases the industry's progress in developing vessels that facilitate the transportation of liquified #co2 playing an important part in the Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (#ccus) value chain. ?? Nor-Shipping also witnessed Viridis Bulk Carriers receiving DNV's approval for their #ammonia-fueled short-sea bulker design. The Viridis Bulk Carriers design, developed by Kongsberg Maritime, is for 5,000 dwt short seas vessels that offer a range (3,000 nm) and safety levels equivalent to conventionally fuelled vessels.
