THE CHARM OF CREATIVITY

It’s said that the brains of creative people are wired differently.

People who write or paint are often considered creative because of how they portray their concepts and ideas. Be it with colours or through powerful words, they always have their UNIQUE ways!

Ideas, thoughts, imaginations, and dreams never fall short of them. There’s always an option – a solution – a completely different way to solve a problem!

For creative people who come up with out-of-box ideas and inputs, it’s not the dream of it or someone who hands it to them. They are wired that way. When they get into their creativity, they put behind all their worries, concerns and grievances and walk into a realm where they brainstorm, embrace the ambiguity and feel at home.

“When you are creative and in the middle of your creativity, you are in a different universe altogether! You see the possibilities, make inferences, look above and beyond the daily call, draw conclusions, and connect the hidden lines like no other.”

They are not affected by what goes on in the background because they are lost in their world, sketching a masterpiece, picturing a detail, and digging into a concept that others know nothing about. They have eyes for things that others don’t see.

Being creative is a constant battle between the right and left brain, where the former generates the craziest ideas, and the latter contradicts logic. Yet, that doesn’t put creative people off because they know that there are different ways of getting a thing done, and if they fail at one, they are yet to discover another!

In the entire process of learning, unlearning, understanding, experiencing, and then creating, the mind never slows down. As much as this sounds exciting, it can be exhausting! There is no button to shut it down or pause it.

An example would make more sense.

When someone creative opens the fridge to eyeball the vegetables to cook for dinner – Mr. Creative in their mind gives them ten different ideas of what can be cooked. As they measure their options, Mr Logic from their left brain makes an appearance and reminds them of the constraints and there goes the brain with ten more alternatives, mindfully of Mr. Logic. And the rest is history!

A person with a creative brain doesn’t show creativity in everything. It depends on the individual and their interests. You give it an off-topic and Mr Creative would drag its blanket and doze off in some corner.

Nothing motivates a creative mind as much as curiosity and opportunity do. Give them something new and exciting, and their brain is like - “Bring it on!!”

Before they know it, they have several options to pick from. Of course, the options come with a strategy and a list of pros and cons, the impact it would make and the mark it would leave (remember - the left brain ;)).

Their brain is like a bird with wings. It wanders everywhere. It’s crucial to keep it busy because a creative brain has zero tolerance for boredom. Keeping it engaged and inspired is a different ballgame altogether. Though a wandering brain is indeed hard to tame, the depth of passion it brings to work is immense.

But to be creative, one needs to be bold. One needs a platform for their creative ideas to see the light of day. If one is not courageous enough to share their crazy ideas, then all those efforts put into creativity go for a toss.

Creativity lies in making an ordinary idea into an insane and remarkable one, boldness lies in presenting it without fear.

All said and done with the charm of creativity, creative people have a different face too - Their heightened emotional sensitivity. They feel deeply. It's either too high or too low, there is no in-between.

?As crazy as it may sound, it’s true that creativity doesn’t come without a price.

“You have to be crazy enough to be creative.”

Creative People are messy, sensitive, passionate, risk-takers, and rule-breakers, but they are the ones who can see, observe, imagine, think, connect, explore, and experiment with things like no other.

Innovation is born from them.

You don’t build great things without getting a little messy!

Now with that boost of motivation, whoever is reading this article, go ahead and spread those wings of yours. Fly high, fly bold and fly crazy because when that right brain steps into the shoes of creativity, there is nothing called crazy - it's all CREATIVE!
