Charlamagne is worth millions, but refuses to sign a prenup - here's why

Hello, I hope you're doing well.?

Today my wife and I were speaking about an interesting article we read about the fact that Charlamagne tha God (aka Lenard McKelvey) never signed a prenuptial agreement. The two have been married for at least a couple of decades and Lord knows she's stood by him through some interesting times.

I met Charlamagne for the first time in 2006 when he was the co-host of The Wendy Williams Experience, the #1 radio show in New York City at the time. He was intelligent, respectful and asked to read a copy of my book, "What if George Bush Were a Black Man?"

The next time I came back to the show, I was impressed that he'd actually finished the book. I then watched as Wendy left the radio show in a fit of controversy, dumping all of her producers and co-hosts at the same time. So, just a few weeks later, Charlamagne was hosting a local public access radio show in South Carolina with practically no listenership at all.

He called me a few times for interviews and I never wanted to do it. However, I did the interviews because I remember thinking, "If I were down and out, I'd want someone to support me too." So, to be honest, I did the interviews out of Sympathy and found myself annoyed that he called me every other week.

All through this very dark time in his life, Charlamagne's wife was right there. She was with him during the highs and also suffered through the lows. If there's any partner who deserves to marry a wealthy celebrity without a prenuptial agreement, it would be Mrs. Jessica Gadsen (yes, that's her name, I'm not sure why her last name isn't McKelvey or "Da Goddess.")
