Why should charities take cyber risk seriously?
This month: Spotlight on Cymplify
Cyber risk is the risk all organisations face from cyber criminals, opportunists or ‘bad actors’ when connected to the internet.
“As a trusted partner to your donors, a vital provider of a whole range of support and services to those in need, and with often very limited budgets and a significant lack of cyber expertise in house, charities are in many ways the perfect target for cyber crime,” according to the team at Cymplify, providers of specialist software to manage cyber risk.
“So, it is vital that trustees, senior executives and team members are aware of the risks, understand the potential impacts, and are able to maintain constant vigilance.”
96% of successful cyber incidents or data breaches now involve some form of human intervention?intervention (Verizon Data Breach Report 2020), and attackers are targeting people as well as systems.

If your charity has multiple investments managed by more than one fund manager, it can be complicated and time-consuming to get a complete picture. But without a holistic view, it’s hard to know whether you’re achieving the best results.
Consolidated Reporting enables charities to independently quantify and analyse their overall assets and their performance to provide that complete view and get clarity.
