Charity and equipment aid to the Solomon Islands

Clearly the Solomon Islands is not without friends and I have been moved these past few days following donations of cash, equipment and a new school dormitory by the Government of Japan, not forgetting equipment donated to facilitate the work of front line workers in the fight against Covid 19 by Australia.
I particularly want to thank QBE Insurance for donating money to the Solomon Islands Red Cross Society to aid the Red Cross in its humanitarian and relief work.

Likewise I thank the friends of Kilu’ufi hospital for the kind donation of hospital equipment.

On the theme of humanitarian and relief work, I single out once again the work being done by the charity workers of the Hearts of Hope in their ongoing and daily care of elderly widows and thousands of young orphans in Malaita.
This Christmas will be difficult for many in the Solomon Islands due to the impact coronavirus has had on the earnings of many laid off work.
I do appeal, however, if at all possible for donor partners, businesses and individual than can afford to try and donate second hand clothing, blankets, soap, towels and school items to the Hearts of Hope Charity.
I am quite sure the charity will welcome such donations this Christmas.
Do help, please, if you possibly can.
Yours sincerely
