The Charity Corner Newsletter - Ep 2
We?launched?the?Yolk Recruitment Charity Newsletter last year?to celebrate Welsh Charities Week.
Every quarter,?we'll be gathering information from our charity partners to give people in the industry the opportunity to showcase events, good news stories, as well as the latest charity sector jobs and career opportunities/insights. Many people ask why I am so passionate about recruiting for the charity sector. I have been connected with the charity sector throughout my whole life as I have cystic fibrosis, a genetic condition affecting more than 10,800 people in the UK. I am proud to talk about my cystic fibrosis and raise awareness to help others with the condition, as well as normalise invisible illness.?Having becoming aware of the budgetary restraints charities have as well as the competition charities can face against the private sector,?I am writing this newsletter as a way of giving back to my clients and the sector.?
Please use this newsletter as an opportunity to shout about the next thing coming up in your organisations and get in touch with me to be featured in the next edition.

Rania has recently joined?Llamau?as our new Senior Policy and Research Officer. This is a new and exciting role for Llamau. With a wealth of experience helping and supporting marginalised groups, she is going to help Llamau influence policies so that we can make homelessness a thing of the past.
She says?“I am someone with lived experiences of homelessness and domestic violence. I have dedicated my professional, academic and activist career to tackle dangerous policy gaps and produce action led-research that amplify the voices of vulnerable and marginalised communities. I’ve always been impressed with how Llamau upholds and centres its values in all of their services as well as the advocacy work that they do. Joining Llamau as the new Senior Policy & Research Officer feels like a full circle moment for me. LATCH
Rhys Buckley?has already raised over £1770 for LATCH and is on target to raise even more.
As Rhys explains in the Link below, this year, 2023, will mark twenty years since "a mate, a son and a brother was lost." They are remembering and honouring their beloved Howell.
Rhys added, "It feels right to take on something both challenging and close to home. The plan is to complete the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, all 186 miles of it, in seven days, from north to south. I'll be heading out from St Dogmaels on Saturday 1st April and will (hopefully) arrive at the finish line in Amroth on Friday 7th April.".
