Charities - A good way to make a difference

Charities - A good way to make a difference

For some, charities can sometimes be seen as a way to get a tax reduction for the business. But there’s so much more than just financial benefit to supporting a charity.

When you support charities you are participating in their mission. Here are few things to think about when selecting a charity to support.

What cause is in line with your mission?

When choosing a charity think about what cause you want to support, what is important to you. Is there a reason either personally or professionally that a specific charity resonates with you.

Causes range from supporting the homeless, a whole range of illnesses, supporting ex-forces, women, children protection and education, supporting the environment and planet, animals... the list is endless so it can be a challenge trying to figure it out.

There are International charities who develop the infrastructure and support in poor communities, helping those in need become more independent as well as providing education and the right medical equipment to help fight diseases.

Local or international?

There are numerous charities to choose from globally. Think which one is the best fit for you. Supporting local charities that help your community or go for the international ones that distribute the help overseas.

It’s extremely important that you always make sure the charity you choose is legitimate and registered, so that you have reassurance that your money is going directly to the cause you have nominated.

If you don’t feel comfortable being associated with charities directly but you want to support when you can, attending events run by organizations that support charities can provide you with an easy way to get started and make a contribution.

Inspiring Dining combines networking, motivational speaking and fine dining. We believe in giving a voice to local charities that may not get the exposure a large charity does. The support we are offering these charities is not only through a contribution of the profits made from their events, but through social promotion in our networks.

Inspiring Dining was Founded by Jo Ferreday and Sharon Brown, two seasoned events professionals who decided to collaborate on this project and truly make a difference.

Inspiring Dining is set to show the way in the United Kingdom for other entrepreneurs on how to get involved and make a positive impact in local communities.

Do you support charities? We’d love to hear your experiences and how you selected your nominated charity.
