Did you know that . . .
- Total charitable donations rose to a new high of $390 billion in 2016 and are projected to rise by 3.8% in 2018? https://sumo.ly/4KTa via @donorbox
- 2018 brings rapid changes in policy, practice, and perception? Will this impact giving?
- 2018 continues the ever-growing need for services and support? Will this impact giving?
- President Donald Trump signed a tax bill that nearly doubles the standard deduction — to $12,000 for individuals, $18,000 for heads of household and $24,000 for married couples? Will this change lead to a major reduction in the number of people who itemize their tax returns — from about 30 percent of tax filers to as few as 5 percent?
- That people who don’t itemize deductions can’t deduct their charitable donations from their taxable income?
