itselectric is a Brooklyn-based EV charging company that recently secured $2.2 million in pre-seed funding, led by Brooklyn Bridge Ventures.

The company provides urban networks of Level 2 curbside charging posts at no cost to cities or property owners, helping them meet their carbon reduction targets and remove the need for infrastructure upgrade costs.

itselectric is the only charging network that offers revenue sharing for residential property owners. This model enables property owners to be part of the EV transition through positive incentives that will help make this solution easier to adopt in markets around the country. itselectric is also the first EV charger designed and manufactured in North America to feature a detachable cord provided to every driver.

The company’s innovative approach has earned it the prestigious Innovation Award for Urban Infrastructure at the 24th annual South by Southwest (SXSW) Innovation Awards ceremony. With the growing demand for sustainable and convenient EV charging infrastructure in the US, itselectric’s innovative solution is poised to make a significant impact in the industry.”

Heliox X First Bus

Heliox is a leading provider of smart electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions and related services. They specialize in the development, manufacturing, and installation of high-quality charging infrastructure for public transport, commercial fleets, and the automotive industry.

Following successful delivery of the largest EV Bus Depot in the UK at First Caledonia Glasgow, Heliox continue to collaborate with First Bus in the UK to provide charging infrastructure for their growing fleet of electric buses. As part of this collaboration, Heliox provided the new chargers to First Bus to help them transition to a fully electrified fleet. The chargers can fully charge a bus in just 3.5 hours, are fully compatible with 3rd party charging and their modular design allows for easy expansion and scalability as First Bus continues to expand their electric fleet.

The partnership between Heliox and First Bus is an important step forward in the transition to a more sustainable and zero-emission public transportation system. With their reliable and efficient charging infrastructure. Heliox is helping to drive the adoption of electric buses and other forms of electric mobility, making cleaner and more sustainable transportation accessible to all.

Charged Up: The Latest in EV Charging

The electric vehicle charging industry continues to grow and evolve, with several key players making recent headlines. Here are the latest developments in the world of EV charging:

?? Pogo , a charging network operator, has partnered with Kew Green Hotels to install 40 charging hubs at Holiday Inn , Holiday Inn Express , VOCO GmbH , and Courtyard by Marriott .

?? SEUR , a subsidiary of parcel delivery company DPDgroup , is partnering with oil company Repsol in Spain to establish over 150 charging points for electric vehicles across 55 branches nationwide.

?? Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited , India's government-owned oil and gas company, is launching 30 kW EV charging stations on six highways in Western India.

?? Electrify America has opened its first DC fast-charger in Hawaii, providing four charging points with a capacity of up to 150 kW.

?? Nottingham City Council and Connected Energy have launched a large-scale vehicle-to-grid (V2G) pilot project called CleanMobilEnergy , with 40 V2G chargers, solar panels, and battery storage installed at the Council's Eastcroft Depot.

??UK charging network InstaVolt has expanded its rapid charging hub in Banbury, Oxfordshire, to become one of the largest charging hubs in the country, with 32 chargers.

?? Tesla has made some of its Superchargers in Europe available to any electric vehicle using the CCS charging standard, however the number of European countries with approved Superchargers has not changed and is still at 15.

??The German KATEK GROUP has secured a framework agreement to deliver over one million white-label wall boxes, with the aim of becoming the market leader in wall box manufacturing.

??Italian automaker Maserati will offer access to Bosch 's public charging service for its new GranTurismo Folgore, which claims to offer access to 450,000 charge points across 30 European countries.

?? Electrify America has agreed with Hyundai Motor Company (?????) to provide two years of complimentary charging sessions at its DC fast chargers for first-time owners of the Ioniq 6 EV.

?? Connected Kerb and Surrey County Council plan to install 10,000 new public chargers across the county by 2030, covering most of the investments. Once complete, the network will include 1,500 sites.

??Copenhagen has selected Clever , OK a.m.b.a. and E.ON to install 1,000 new AC charge points, the first step in a plan to build 4,100 new charging stations in the city by late 2025.
