Charged Up: The Latest in EV Charging
The electric vehicle charging industry continues to grow and evolve, with several key players making recent headlines. Here are the latest developments in the world of EV charging:
?? Ideanomics, Inc. (OTC: IDEX) has formed a strategic partnership with German automotive supplier MAHLE , and will become the development partner and exclusive North American distributor for the MAHLE chargeBIG 18-36 AC fleet charging solution.
??The FLO EV Charging Ultra charger features two high-powered charging ports in one aluminium enclosure. Most EVs can charge to 80% in 15 minutes with up to 320 kW available using dynamic power sharing and up to 500 kW with multiple electric vehicle charging stations connected together
?? Lynkwell orders 55 fast charging stations from Tritium? which will be installed in retail locations and will add to the hundreds of Tritium fast chargers currently in Lynkwell's network.
?? 壳牌 acquires Volta Media, A Shell Brand network for $169 million, following its acquisition of Greenlots in 2019.
?? Hertz and bp pulse have announced a public-private partnership for EV charging infrastructure in Denver, which is expected to attract major clients such as Uber and Lyft .
?? Ideanomics, Inc. (OTC: IDEX) has completed its acquisition of VIA Motors , and plans to integrate its charging solutions with Via's electric commercial vehicles, while exploring opportunities to bring the VDRIVE vehicle platform to other OEMs.
?? TravelCenters of America will partner with Electrify America to install approximately 1,000 fast charging stations at 200 locations along major US highways within the next five years.
?? Park&Charge has secured €16.4 million in financing to double its network of 6,000 charging stations in the Netherlands over the next two years.
?? Kempower , Finland's foremost manufacturer of EV charging equipment, is ready to set up shop in the USA. The plant in Durham County, North Carolina, shall start producing DC chargers for electric vehicles before the year’s end. Kempower initially plans to invest $41 million and can expect government subsidies totalling around three million dollars over twelve years.

1 年Reading the first edition of EV Charging Newsletter, I charged up. So, allow me to comment. Energy Storage will change the future of electric power utilities. From an accessory, to become the main components of all electric power networks. Energy Storage will be everywhere, at the utility networks, at microgrids, behind most customers' meters and on the roads inside most EVs. Just a few years from now, energy storage in EVs will be the dominant component of energy at every utility. We are building a new electric power system. Charging EVs will be critical to our supply of electrical energy minimizing undesired emissions.
