This week saw the last leg of the Charge X tour hitting London, and the Blend team was there to catch up on the latest updates from ReCharge and our mutual partners Klaviyo and Loyalty Lion.
The first session of the afternoon was hosted by Chathri Ali, COO at ReCharge who discussed the focus of ReCharge's growth over the past 12 months. Specifically, Chathri updated the attendees on:
- A renewed focus on support for partners and merchants, with 24-hour support now available to serve a growing global audience.
- A significant data research project by ReCharge to create benchmarks and analysis of subscription services that will allow merchants and partners to analyse their performance (Register for access here - bit.ly/rechargestats)
- ReCharge's commitment to the constant improvement of access to data to help merchants grow.
As can be seen from the image below, ReCharge has clearly invested significant time and effort in pulling out meaningful data points. From our perspective as an agency, we think this will be a great tool for both agencies and merchants to better understand where money is being left on the table with regards to subscription-based products.
Rob Barr, Partner Manager at ReCharge was next up and specifically discussed:
- The wide range of support available to ReCharge partners and merchants.
- Improvements to existing ReCharge integrations with other leading Shopify apps.
- New integrations coming soon to ReCharge.
In terms of integrations, we we're excited to see an integration with SMS Bump announced at the event. After recently working with a number of clients on SMS Bump, we can see some great opportunities with this integration and look forward to implementing these when it becomes available.
A significant part of the afternoon was then spent with a focus on the ReCharge theme engine and ReCharge customer portal. For us, there were two key observations here:
- The ReCharge theme engine, ReCharge customer portal and API offers an excellent opportunity to hyper personalise a subscription-based offer and maximise AOV and LTV.
- This is not being taken advantage enough by partners and merchants.
From our perspective as an agency, this is something we've been aware of for a while and we're working on a number of solutions around this at the moment. There are truly some big opportunities here to scale a subscription-based product.
In addition to the above, we also heard from ReCharge on:
- How to access and use ReCharge data to better grow a subscription product.
- New product updates and roadmap
In addition to ReCharge, the attendees also benefited by hearing presentations from:
- Justin Khaksar from Klaviyo on how ReCharge and Klaviyo users are maximising sales potential through 'Owned Marketing'
- Sam Henning from Union Works on how their Automate app can help merchants and partners access the ReCharge theme engine with ease
- Fiona Stevens from LoyaltyLion on how loyalty and retention can be maximised by using the powerful integrations between ReCharge and LoyaltyLion
In summary, the ReCharge X London event was an incredibly informative, collaborative and friendly event. As a long term partner of ReCharge, we're even more excited to see how ReCharge will grow and develop in time for next year's ReCharge X.
