Purpose

Charge Ready NY 2.0 aims to accelerate the deployment of Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across New York State, with a focus on workplaces, multi-unit dwellings (MUDs), and public facilities in Disadvantaged Communities (DACs). By expanding EV infrastructure, the program supports New York’s clean transportation goals and reduces harmful emissions.

?? Estimated Total Funding: $12M in incentives + $3M in bonus incentives ?? Incentive Amounts:

• Public Facilities: $4,000 per charging port installed
• Workplace/MUD Locations:$2,000 per port ($2,500 if located in a DAC)$1,000 per port for assigned parking spaces or fleet vehicles ?? Bonus Incentives:
• Small locations (≤100 parking spaces): $4,000
• Large locations (>100 parking spaces): $10,000 ?? Anticipated Release: Ongoing until December 31, 2025

?? Who Should Apply? ?? Public or private entities (for-profit & nonprofit) ?? Equipment owners and installers meeting NYSERDA’s qualification standards

? Eligible Sites:

• Public Facilities (located in a DAC, open to the public for 12+ hours/day, 5 days/week)
• Workplaces (20+ parking spaces and 20+ regularly working employees)
• Multi-Unit Dwellings (MUDs) (20+ parking spaces serving housing units)

?? Application Process:

• Pre-Installation Approval: Reserved funds require installation within 180 days
• Post-Installation Approval: Applications must be submitted within 90 days of installation
