Characteristics and Installation Techniques of Different Types of Aluminum Ceiling Panels

Aluminum buckle plate

In general, aluminum plate ceiling refers to aluminum buckle plate ceiling. Aluminum buckle plate ceiling has a special keel clip structure with no gaps, strong waterproofing; the high-profile keel has fixed modulus teeth, strong wind resistance, and high safety.

Aluminum buckle plates are generally divided into square plates and strip plates, with many different sizes for each specification.

Aluminum buckle plate installation process:

1. Install the edge corner series at the same horizontal height;

2. Install lightweight steel keels (38 or 50 keels) at appropriate intervals, usually spaced at 1-1.2 meters. The distance between hangers should be distributed according to the specifications of the lightweight steel keels;

3. Attach the pre-installed hangers on the buckle plate keels, and connect the buckle plate keels tightly to the lightweight steel keels and lock them vertically underneath the lightweight steel keels. The spacing between buckle plate keels is generally 1 meter. After all installations are complete, horizontal adjustments must be made. (In general, when the vertical distance between the building and the aluminum plate to be suspended does not exceed 600mm, there is no need to add intermediate 38 keels or 50 keels. Instead, hanger fittings and hanger rods are directly connected to the keels);

4. Place the buckle plates in parallel and in sequence on the matching keels, using special keel series connecting components for plate connections;

5. When installing the plates, gloves must be worn. If fingerprints or stains are accidentally left, they can be cleaned with detergent and hot water, then dried.

Aluminum Batten Panel

Batten-style aluminum single panels are generally used for indoor ceiling suspension, available in rectangular and square shapes, formed by 1.2MM-3.0MM AA-grade aluminum alloy extrusion molding, with common specifications of (300, 600, 800) * L.

Batten boards have strong interlocking properties and a simple and sturdy installation structure. The unique batten design on the edges of the boards effectively controls the movement between boards, ensuring tighter and smoother joints between them.

Installation process of batten panels:

1. Measure the elevation of the batten aluminum single board ceiling after installation according to the design drawings, determine the ceiling horizontal line, and fix the edge corners at the horizontal line position around the wall.

2. Determine the construction direction, mark the suspension holes on the building structure ceiling at intervals of ≤1200mm, and secure the hanger rods with expansion bolts.

3. Fix the light steel keel hangers and light steel keels, adjust the light steel keels to be horizontal, and adjust the elevation of the light steel keels. Each keel should be parallel to each other.

4. Use batten keel hangers to fix the batten keels to the light steel keels, adjust them horizontally, and ensure that the batten keels are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the light steel keels.

5. Install square batten panels: insert the batten keels into the grooves of the secondary keels in the same direction.

6. At the edge corners, measure the dimensions according to the site conditions and place the ceiling on the edge corners.

7. Maintain clean hands during the installation process and avoid sweating, oil stains, and other adverse phenomena.

Aluminum Hanging Panels

Aluminum hanging panels, also known as curtain hanging panels, are a type of card-type curtain. They are a combination of open and transparent design, using a simple and quick plug-in installation method. Creatively applying the design concept of blinds to ceilings, they can adjust the visual height of space, conceal pipeline facilities, and provide extraordinary decorative effects.

Aluminum hanging panels come in various types, including droplet-shaped panels, S-shaped panels, cylindrical panels, and 7-shaped panels.

Installation process of aluminum hanging panels:

1. Draw horizontal and vertical lines according to the required horizontal height, ensuring both horizontal and vertical alignment.

2. Install lightweight steel keels (38 or 50 keels) at appropriate intervals, usually spaced at 1-1.2 meters. The distance between hangers should be distributed according to the specifications of the lightweight steel keels.

3. Attach the pre-installed hangers on the keels to the lightweight steel keels, along with the hanging panel keels, positioned below the lightweight steel keels. The spacing between hanging panel keels is generally 1.1 meters, and after all installations are complete, they must be adjusted to be horizontal.

Aluminum Grid Ceiling

The grid ceiling offers flexible combinations, utilizing aluminum grilles with aluminum frames to enhance its unique design and innovative appearance after installation.

Installation process of grid ceiling:

1. According to the plan, mark the longitudinal and transverse layout lines of the component materials, the outline lines of the complex parts, and the elevation lines of the ceiling, while determining and marking the suspension points of the ceiling.

2. Use metal expansion bolts or shooting nails to fix the ceiling connections according to the design requirements, or directly fix steel suspension rods, galvanized iron wires, and flat iron hangers.

3. Assemble the local grid, unit by unit, forming rhythmic pattern elements of the grid ceiling. If necessary, assemble on the ground as much as possible, then suspend according to the design requirements.

4. Hang the pre-assembled grid ceiling on the main bone holes with hooks, connect the entire grid ceiling, and adjust it to level.

Aluminum Square Tube Ceiling

Aluminum square tube ceiling is a type of open and transparent long strip hanging board that visually conceals the keel system. Its appearance is simple and atmospheric, commonly used in public places with numerous concealed engineering requirements and high foot traffic. It facilitates air circulation, exhaust, and heat dissipation, while evenly distributing light to create a spacious and bright environment.

Installation process of aluminum square tube ceiling:

1. Measure the elevation after installation according to the design requirements.

2. Determine the construction direction and mark suspension holes on the ceiling at intervals of ≤1200mm. Secure galvanized suspension rods with expansion bolts simultaneously.

3. Fix lightweight steel keels and hangers, adjusting them horizontally and maintaining consistent elevation. The spacing between lightweight steel keels should be ≤1200mm.

4. Use universal hangers to secure the clip-in keels to the lightweight steel keels. Ensure that the clip-in keels are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the lightweight steel keels. The spacing between clip-in keels should be ≤1200mm.

5. Install the aluminum square tubes by clipping them into the clip-in keels at the designated intervals, making slight adjustments as necessary.
