Character Leadership Education

Back in February, I posted on The Practice of Character. Indeed, the study and advancement of same is part of my own Epic Work Ahead. I humbly believe, contend and offer that there is a real and substantive return on Character... and that Character and Leadership are intrinsically linked. I also offer that Character and Purpose are similarly linked.

That said, the study and practice and advancement of Character, Purpose and Unity as forces for building an ever better world and future... at home, school, work, business, play and community... this is huge to my Patient Road... my Just Cause of ... Humans Together Strong. Moving the needle on that is my mission. Indeed, I have offered up that:

• "The focus of my Life is Humans Together Strong at home, school, work, business, play and community. That means that I believe in the incredible capacity of the human spirit. That means that I believe that Humanity is our highest standard, and inhumanity is our lowest. That means that at home, school, work, business, play and community ... I choose to do my best to live and serve nobly to advance same."

All that in mind and heart, The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said...

• "The function of education is to teach one to think intensely and to think critically.? Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education."

And, Baha'u'llah said,

• “Regard man as a mine rich in gems of inestimable value. Education can, alone, cause it to reveal its treasures, and enable mankind to benefit therefrom.”

Character and Education are twin pillars of building towards and on Humans Together Strong... I suggest. They make for ever more effective critical thinking, creative problem solving and cooperative, constructive impact on the world and its future... locally, globally and glocally. We need both, vitally and now.

I also suggest that they help forge the Heroic Protagonists needed for a better world and future. Character and the deeper capacity to learn and teach... ultimately, they make for great and trusted Leadership... in every arena of human endeavour... now and forward.

I like to think of it as "Leaducation". For me... Leaducation is the idea that the combined power of Character as art and science... and Leadership and Education matters in all of those arenas of noble human endeavour... again, now and forward. With it, we advance that much needed critical thinking, creative problem solving and cooperative, constructive impact. With it, we advance quality education. With it, we practice Love in Leadership... at home, school, work, business, play and community.

Great Education is Great Leadership. Great Leadership is Great Education. Enter Leaducation. Character matters indeed. Character Education matters. And, I must say that exploring this combined and noble force of Character, Leadership and Education is my path to champion Humans Together Strong.

Through the study and practice of 6 strategies around 6 temperaments as the core of my work... it is my LIFE/work, and Service... and my own genuine Optimism... in practice. In my Service, I work to bring rooms and people together, humbly and assertively. In so doing, I bring my "so far" 44 years of education and experience in leadership training and development to the proverbial table, including as a:

• 30-year College Educator, teaching Strategic Leadership, Management, Entrepreneurship, and Human Resource Development
• 22-year Master Facilitator with the Virtues Project?
• 20-year Certified Facilitator with Personality Dimensions?
• 24 year Facilitator with the Ruhi Institute
• Practitioner of the work of What Color is Your Parachute? since 1982.

I bring my studying, practicing, teaching, facilitating, training, coaching, mentoring, singing, dancing, cartooning, blogging, vlogging, writing, boxing and creating to that work. And, it is all about Leaducation... bringing the forces of Character, Purpose and Unity to Leadership and Education.

Leaducation as the path towards Humans Together Strong, moving forward, together, stronger. It is indeed my focus with my Epic Work Ahead. I humbly invite you to reach out, if you are intrigued, interested, engaged and/or "on board".
