A Chapter Ends. A New Chapter Begins.
David Langer
The DIY Data Science Guy. Consultant. Educator. I'll teach you Python for free.
Last Friday was my final day as Data Science Dojo's VP of Data Science. I was privileged enough that my last day entailed doing what I loved most about the job - teaching folks the fascinating world of data science and data engineering.
I use the word privileged deliberately. Over the past 6 months I had the distinct honor of being an instructor for hundreds of working professionals from around the world. I owe each of these folks a debt of gratitude - thank you all for the opportunity to be your teacher!
At the risk of being called cliche, I easily learned as much from the folks I taught as they learned from me. I have many examples where my knowledge of data science was deepened as a direct result of a student's probing/interesting question.
Most important of all, my experiences of the past 6 months have solidified the work that I find most rewarding and fulfilling. As I am lucky enough to have the kindest, most understanding, and patient of spouses I am in a rare place where I can take the time to explore new opportunities that combine hands-on data science skills, evangelism, and leadership to achieve extraordinary business outcomes.
If you are in need of my talents, skills, and experiences don't hesitate to reach out.
Onwards to the next chapter, may it be as exciting and as educational as the last!

7 年Dave, it was a pleasure having you as an instructor at DSD and as a coach on the "back 2 the future" project. Good luck and I hope you'll enjoy your new adventure as much as you enjoyed teaching.
