Wow. The news cycle seems to be on a weekly cadence over the last month or so, that has been nothing if not eventful. Hard to keep up. And sometimes better to turn it off for a while. Yes, I have no news apps on my phone.
What plans do you have for this weekend?
Start it off with the Friday Five, five posts that touched a nerve this week.
The Friday Five

When the book is written how we made the next ten life saving drugs, I want there to be a chapter in that book about our headquarters. To look the CEO in the eyes and say, I can prove that this place helped develop the next ten life saving drugs - Phil Kirschner

Digital Inclusion - Comfortable
How can we cultivate an experience and a vibe that makes the least comfortable person the most comfortable they could possibly be to say something, real? - Dave Cairns

Bad meetings are a symptom of a broader problem
The meeting situation is just a symptom of a broader problem ... You can't just fix the meetings. You actually have to go back to what are our communication norms??- Sacha Connor

Communication protocols and team level agreements. Meetings will be a line item of detail, not the primary communication method.

Untethered
Remote first, hybrid or office first, employees are free to move about. Distributed working has been a reality for a long time and it needs better support. - Ryan Anderson
The promise of mobility.
Un-tethered from power drops and ethernet cables. Inside the building, and out, regardless of location. If your work is digital, it travels in your pocket.
