Chapter 8 ??
Megan Austwick
Marketing Executive | Business Owner | Creating Unforgettable Paint & Sip Experiences ???? | Brand Storyteller & Creative Enthusiast ?
I think it's only right I name this month, 'The Month Of Books', never mind Ben (my partner - who I have pretty much ignored for the past few weeks ??) I went to see It Ends With Us with my friend as soon it came out and literally broke all the rules having not read the book first. I soon caught up and went straight into the second book, it was here my Colleen Hoover addiction began.
I've just began my sixth book in less than 3 weeks, it's very clear, I'm obsessed. If you're reading this and you're also a big fan, please do let me know!
It could also be named the month of Youtube if not?! As yes, I've started posting weekly videos. I've had this Youtube for a long time and I started posting when I was about 13 years old. Teenage Megan was clearly impacted by other peoples comments, so after being picked on about the video, I took it down. BUT I AM BACK!
Subscribers count massively in the world of Youtube as you may know, so if you can, and you haven't already, please please please do subscribe (it literally means the world to me!) - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFGrE5lLdzWXqfXSCxYNuXA. I've been really enjoying it, you know I love the long form content (hence my love for this newsletter!!) and I get up to 30 minutes to chat, take you with me on my little adventures and also I'm creating my own journal to look back on forever more.
So yes, I also went to Italy and WHAT A DISASTER that was ?? from the second a seagull stole my cheese and ham croquette within an hour of me landing in Venice, to the stress of coordinating a flight home two days early and everything else in-between. But I did get to see Venice, Verona, Lake Garda and the rolling Prosecco Hills and wow, how beautiful. I can't wait to go back another time and fully enjoy it, with no issues hopefully!
Just before heading to Italy, after two wonderful years, my time at TeamJobs came to an end in August. I was taken out for a gorgeous lunch with Jason Gault , Natasha Hall & Lucy Eaton as a farewell and thank you for the past two years, I'm so grateful for everything TJ has done for me. The learning, the opportunities, the friendships and everything else. Running my own business for the past three years has given me the opportunity to get involved in all areas of business, in doing this I've been able to identify what I love the most, it's the brand storytelling, the content creation, the social media, the creative side - that's what sets my soul on fire. So as you'll know, I headed to London to study branding further in the summer and when on my return, feeling so inspired, I decided to follow my dreams.

I've just secured my absolute dream role as a Marketing Executive for a Fashion Brand (eeeeeeeeee ??) so I'll be doing this part time whilst building Tipsy up alongside. Honestly I'm just so excited, I can't wait to fully immerse myself in this new world, learn and grow with some incredibly talented humans.
I also headed to Oxford this month with mum to host an event for Tipsy Canvas Co. , I've never been to Oxford before, no idea how I've missed that one?! Absolutely steeped in history and full of beautiful buildings, stories, shopping, food, the list goes on. We hosted the event at Victors, a gorgeous rooftop bar, 18 artists in the sunshine with cocktails and Prosecco. We spent two days there and explored as much as we could in that time, enjoyed every minute and I can't wait to go back!
I feel like I've got so much more to share on August and how great it was, but I'm going to close this months newsletter here. September brings exciting new beginnings and challenges with my new job, more YouTube content coming up and much more. So stay tuned.
Have a fantastic September, and I can't believe my next newsletter will be coming out in October... how are we there already?!
