fresh water, mackerel fish, marine salt, lemongrass, chili, holy basil, lime, ..
“…Let’s get started with a dish- Spicy mackerel soup; ..
This is quite a long story which I will take you to get a look for Hornbill in Kaeng Krachan Forest and then you will taken to the Bangtaboon Bay to see Bryde’s whale.…and a little switching mode to do our little garden things. All of what I was saying hasn't included some other programs yet….Do you believe that this is a ‘Concept’ for travelling in this place? and not for so long… Most people will give it a go and follow this concept.”
"Guy" said, parked a car and disappeared into 7-Eleven…but for me? I was just shocked by not understand him saying that. What did you expect for someone who just woke up. What was he talking about? ...?
I looked back for "Khaimook" and suddenly saw that she was asleep with the blanket all over her face.
"Khaimook, we're here!" I took her blanket back.
"Uhhh..." She indistinctly answered and also took her blanket back.
Guy walked back to the car with his hands holding the bags from 7-eleven and then threw it into a trunk.?
"Let's go to the bridge!"?... not any second. He didn't wait for anyone and went on himself. So, I left Khaimook sleeping. I grabbed a camera and ran follow him up.
?
“I’ll be right back, let me take a photo for a sec.”
I arrived at a middle of the bridge(slightly breathless) seeing Guy talking on his phone with someone. Ah! It must be the boat that will take us to patrol around.
Guy hung up the phone and use that phone to take a picture and capture the moment.?
“Do you see that water edge and the horizon and that patch of cabins right there?”??He pointed to the estuary, my eyes follow his hand.
“And…what?”
“Today we are going to patrol around that area.”
Then I hold my camera up and took some pictures.
…Ohh.., that is so beautiful with the early morning view. I feel a little bit weird like this is my hometown but I have never felt like I have ever experienced or had a close contact with this place before.
?
“You said that you would take me to see a whale, didn’t you?” I asked.
Guy didn’t look at me. He was taking pictures but his mouth was moving…
“It’s not about time…we will go to the estuary first, then we’ll take about that later.”
We captured both moments and pictures on the bridge around ten minutes and come down back to take Khaimook to the boat.
It was what Guy had planned at the first place about the program he will take us to patrol around Bangtaboon Bay for the first day. I still don’t understand much about it. I just got a task which says…
“…try taking some pictures of Bangtaboon Bay for me…whatever way you feel comfortable with.. Guy told me like this.
So, after getting this message from him, Khaimook and I were so much fun taking pictures…and just for the first day and the first two hours, we took at least more than six hundred photos. That is way too much I know. (Hahaha)
NEXT DAY
this time we are going on to the mountain and into the forest.
Oh my God you guys.
I felt like my whole organisms inside my body was gonna gushing out. and moreover ,Guy was teasing me by say-ing..
“Where do this murmur little fish owl came from? I hear its muttering all the way up here ”
(Seriously! It was me! He is talking of me. I swear it is so risky. I mean there is a chasm on my left and there is still a chasm on my right. I was like hobbling around because of the path. Some part is way too risky and I couldn’t even control myself. There is a car in front of ours and teenagers are in it. The point is that car’s wheels were moving free like almost out-of-control. It swung back and forth. The way to the mountain was too steep. If to be compared, I would say that car was as if driving on our head. So, how could it possibly be true for me not to be scared?!)
Guy gave me a task which was “Sea of fog and Along both sides”
This is an Hors d’oeuvre (appetizer) program for Hornbills by whatever I want to show I will do style. But.. in my mind, where is this place?
I am here to see the sea of fog right?…but the fog is too heavy. We have fouled for three times in a row.
Note: Photos below are from other days we surveyed at noon.
…and what is “Along both sides?” Yes, I am more happy with this…for me a good thing up to the PanoenThung mountain is we can?stop by to take a photo of beautiful flowers. They don’t grow up all along the way and it is not so obvious to be seen. You have to be like me to get these beautiful kind of photos. (Lol)
I was annoyed by him just only for one reason. It is when he told me to take pictures but he never parks by or moreover, he speeds up the car instead of parking! Who could finish that task by sitting in the moving car! I was enjoying my photo time until he finally ruined it by speeding up his car (I am sorry I didn’t mean to talk behind his back Lol.)

We are here but “There is no word like ‘the sea of fog’ ” so, I asked this just asked him back, then he asked me in return.
“When you say Kaeng Krachan , what do you think of?”
?I was stunned at the moment.
“Dam? Lake?”
Guy said that for him or even Thais, foreigners , we will later think of a forest, mountain, water. But not as what I have told you before. Guy said you will think of the water that stagnates in the hole on the road. That is what he thinks of.
However, for me “Along the way” is the best thing I do love the most. Seeing beautiful flowers, bushes of tree. Ah! I have got a photo of a herd of monkey for you. At some points you will see many of these little ones, but I would say they are rowdy. They don’t step aside for any cars passing by. That victimised car has to get very close to them first so that they will open the way to let you get through. But not for so long, they will run follow you.(Hahaha)
After getting pass that difficult way, there will be a pavement which is so smooth that you will get on very easy. This way is nearby Bang Krang campground. Most of people who do birdwatching?usually walk around here. Guy has got a photo of hornbills already but he didn’t send that file to me.
Note: He just send a minute. haha...
Scattered mind…is the factor of suffering
The result of the scatter …is suffering
Mind that assembles inside…is the solution of problems and freedom from suffering
Mind that assembles with itself and persists in right concentration, that mind will stay stable and maintain in unity…
… heading to a balance and neutral condition. Be able to live in both happiness and suffering. A bittersweet experience with no trouble.
Those who take an action will find a peace in themselves…individually.
(This was modified from the sign of the original one from a meditation Centre on the island at a Lake / Kaeng Krachan )
Guy said that this program is designated to be in doctor’s degree.(for the farmschool set)
I asked him how…he said it is all about the internal mind.
“And how does it relate to the agriculture?”
Guy said it relates to problems and the way of solving those problems in agricultural business.?
I am still confused…Well, to ask what my task is…it is “Merit making-paying respect to the Buddha and the path to happiness” OH MY GOD! I don’t get it. So, Let’s continue this next week. GOODBYE.
"Bryde's whale
Good morning.
Today, back to the Bryde's whale. I'm looking to photos Guy got from Bryde's visiting boat yesterday. He gave, and asked - are you ready to go Bryde?
"NOW?" (yesterday, evening)
"No. I mean next week, or later, but before March."
"Ummmm.."
Credit photos: Bryde's visiting boat and visitors(photos owners)
As I told since first trip in last year, I don't know more about the environmental working society, but photos of Bryde's whales are making something change. This is a thing I never known about the sea.
Guy told - there are more societies in the sea and coastal area. Bryde's whales, Sea turtles, Dolphins, Dugongs, Coral reef/ Seagrass with many beautiful fishes. These societies are distance from the eyes of most people that's different from some societies that's used for economic(business/living).. i.e.crabs, fishes in fishery, shrimps, shells..
..but, these are indicators of this ecosystem quality and all societies are in one system. Situations on Bryde is related to quantity of Mackerel fish that fishery boats take it to the market, and you buy to your kitchen or meet at restaurants... it's a sample.
"Why people go to see Bryde?" I asked.
"Why you like to see and take photo on flowers?" Guy asked back to me.
"...It's same. each person has different interesting. I don't know more deeper detail on demand in tourism industry, but I think it's the benefit for nature by this visiting programme."
Ummm... I just see clear picture on tourism programme with Bryde's whales, include the Hornbills. There are same feeling. It's about some groups who like some living things in nature, but in my mind, I still see the separated programme of tourism that's not the picture Guy said before- it's the whole picture and integration.
My working this week likes the creative who take a time with imagination on something that's abstractly. It's so distance from my job in financial industry that's worked on real thing with numeric and not complex.
Before the trip to Bryde, it's so hard work in my preparation!
