The time has finally arrived…
It’s been a long time coming (ok not that long, I’ve only had the business for 8 months), but in my world, 8 months is like 50 years!
To ensure this newsletter wasn’t just another boring list of things to do on LinkedIn, I decided on something very early…
I wasn’t going to do a boring list of things you can do on LinkedIn (so much science went into that).
Instead, I will bring you some light-hearted stories about the Unconventionall world, how we are evolving and how we are becoming more inclusive with our business.?
Will there be some social media gold in there at times??
Well OBVS. I’m not going to ignore it completely.?
I just won’t bang on about it until I’m blue in the face hoping you’ll buy my course from January (but you can if you want).?Instead, I will slide in the following topics:

So a little update on us is essential to kick things off…
Well firstly, ‘Us’ is actually now just me (and my adorable side kicks Linz, Jake & Josh). You may know that for a while, Odessa Sherreard and I were running this shizzle together. Well, that was the vision anyway.?

The trouble is that the Unconventionall brand is mine and always has been. No matter how hard we tried or what we did, people will always see it as mine. So this month, the wonderful Odessa and I decided to call time on our little arrangement, releasing her to work on her own brand.?
Does this mean we now don’t speak? Hell no! We are still very good friends and will continue to support each other the way we have always done.?
Business Owner Life
It would not be stretching the truth to say that the transition from employed to self-employed has been bloody hard. In fact, scratch that, it’s been the hardest, most stressful process I’ve ever been through.?
No matter how much business I win, or how many people tell me how epic my process is… I’ve still had some really tough periods. The good thing is, my fellow business owners have assured me these feelings of worry and self-doubt never go away which is awesome! ??
Having said that (because I promised myself this would be an uplifting read), I would not change it for the world. And here’s why…
?? I get to work in my pants.
?? I go for walks any time I like.
?? I can jump on the turbo in lycra… And stay in it.
?? I can not shower for 2 days and no one cares (except maybe Linz),
?? I can pick my boys up from school without having to pretend I’m still working.
?? I can make tea without having to ask the entire office.
And of course, there is the small matter of building something exactly how I want without having to fight every man and his dog to actually create social media content!?
So, I hope you will follow along and see how the Unconventionall brand evolves in 2023. There will be highs, lows, and everything in between but I can guarantee you this…
It will be honest!?
