As I write this last piece of 2022, It was the most exhausting year yet. I know there are more to come as I unfold life day by day.
We think that once I get this, I will be happy or we think that 'their life must be simpler or easier' but no one has it easy. I have got to know so many people and some closest to me, it took them a while to reach where they are. And, It could take time.
This was supposed to be the most calm year for me, as I entered into it with a stable job, a good work environment, and trying to be fit each day. But emotionally, it was terrifying which was one of the reasons that I started this newsletter. As someone or the other is going through a time in their 20's in which they feel lost, unstable, alone. If you are reading this I hope you find a ray of light for 2023.
Above all, December was an eventful month. I had a lot of social gatherings to attend, some major decisions that were to be taken, and some voluntary projects that were to be delivered. I totally feel out of place as I step into 2023, a major reason why I probably have no intention to party tonight. I rather am in the cosy blanket, prolly will have some good food and call it a night. This is one of the most acceptable things to me. And if you plan to do it too, it is completely okay.
Lesson no. 143542 - No one will stop for you :)
As I said that December was an eventful month, I took one of the most important decisions for myself in the middle of the chaos, in the middle of meeting all the people, closing on some deadlines and trying to just survive through it. I understood that life is not going to wait when I take leap of faith, when I have too many things on my plate or while I wonder whats next, it just happens.
You laugh in the middle of the chaos, you cry when you find fit. That's life. In the middle of everything when you take decisions as them being your responsibility, it strengthens you as a human. That is something you need to be proud of, that's adulting I guess. But we soak in these decisions, we will find more strength and confidence in who we are becoming.
As life unfolds further for me, while I try to squeeze in all my bigger plans in the smaller timeframes. I hope that they do :)
We need to stop waiting for an event, for a degree, for a plan or a trip to get over. We need to start taking actions today. We need to know how to do it, to be able to do it.
It is okay to breathe a little more, it is okay to take it slow, but to be stagnant is a mistake. Please don't relate stagnancy with rest, rest is important but stagnancy isn't.
What is an action you were waiting for to do on Jan 1st or in the first week of Jan'23.
Read about it today, shrug away the uncertainty and go for it now. :)
I hope you have a great start to the new year. Happy New Years Eve!
