Channel M 2023 Q1 & Q2 Review

1/2 of 2023 is in the books.

9-months into being on my own & I’ve learned more in the past 9 months than the past 9 years. Lots of good, some bad & some TBD.

As I jump into Q3 ‘23, I’ll continue to focus on working smarter. Yet the smarter I work, the harder I work… success breeds success.

Some highlights for my clients*:

  1. Creative Production: Good Company ( GOOD COMPANY ) & Scott Cudmore encapsulates Emma Chamberlain’s launch to stardom for Canon: Everyone Has a Story. They also celebrate other wins such as 3 Tellys for Don Toliver’s album launch on Amazon Prime, the NBA’s release of Game Change Game on Starz & an experiential activation event w/Bevel at Essence: Experience.
  2. Market Research: Motivate Design ( Motivate Design ) is hired to run multiple proof of concept, proof of tech & willingness to buy studies for multiple PE firms considering 7 to 8 figure investments in multiple highly regulated industries.
  3. Global Digital + Social: 321 The Agency ( 321 The Agency ) raises over $33 Million w/Mr. Beast’s to remove millions of pounds of trash from our waters: #TeamSeas, launches Disney’s Shop Disney ( 华特迪士尼公司 ) digital experience & crafts a uniform brand for Florida’s Space Coast Office of Tourism.
  4. Digital Development:?Studio Labs?( StudioLabs ) serves up some tasty meals through a complete overhaul & ongoing optimization engagement for?Shake Shack.
  5. Staff Augmentation:?UX Hires?( UX Hires ) provides an in-house innovation team that is “always on” for a National Insurance brand (i.e. they have “office hours” for anyone at the brand to consult with a digital expert on a concept they have).
  6. Brand Launch: Barker ( BARKER ) launches Bausch+Lomb petcare brand: Project Watson.
  7. (re)Brand: Faster FWD ( FASTER/FORWARD ) re-brands petcare start-up Purrch (launches in 1 month).
  8. Public Relations: Caliber Corporate Advisors ( Caliber Corporate Advisers ) scales w/hyper-focused brands w/in FinTech, Financial Services, InsurTech, Insurance, & Real Estate storytelling
  9. Experiential: Horizon Media’s First Tube ( First Tube ) launches a Pickleball Slam w/ESPN featuring Andre Agassi, John McEnroe, Andy Roddick & Michael Chang.
  10. Influencer: People First ( People First ) demonstrates the power of real patient stories driving conversion: How Patient Stories Are Restoring Trust in Healthcare.
  11. Media (B2C): Conspiracy Theory’s ( CONSPIRACY THEORY: An NMSDC certified minority owned company ) - Modern Formula ( Modern Formula (MoFo) )- drives a significant drop in CAC while boosting LTV for a global health & wellness franchisee.
  12. Media (B2B): Horizon Media’s Green Thread ( Green Thread ) wins the AOR media role (among a few others) for Mac Trucks.
  13. Crypto: Tonic ( Tonic.xyz | Tonic Labs, Inc. ) sells out their first 3 NFT Collections. Generating 1,494 ETH in value or $2,857,573 in US dollars.
  14. Transformative Tech: HELO ( HELO ) wins 7 Cannes Creative Awards (Grand Prix, Gold, Silver & Bronze) for work w/the NBA & Michelob Ultra: Dream Caster.
  15. Industry Focused: Pet Care Marketing Pros launches a 1st of it’s kind lead gen SaaS solution for national & local pet care businesses.
  16. Sweepstakes: Votigo ( Votigo, Inc. ) - working with Promotion Activators - wins the LA28 Olympic Games Celebrate Sweepstakes. ?
  17. Multi-cultural: Pitcher Growth raises $1,000’s to support black owned businesses & helps multiple SMBs.
  18. Global Repositioning: Conductor ( Conductor ) hired by Fanatics reimagine the brand, retail spots & launch, turning a $2.5 Billion company into a $31 Billion company.
  19. Global Brand: Mrs. & Mr. ( Mrs & Mr ) lead - lead by the Wadias - repositions & rebrands Pepsi after 15 years. Impacting all aspects of the brand expression: Pepsi Unveils First New Logo & Visual Identity System.
  20. Performance Marketing & Dashboards: Within ( WITHIN ) demystifies data via actionable insights delivered via their marketing pulse dashboard: Marketing Pulse.
  21. Branding: Sibling Rivalry ( Sibling Rivalry ) asks, what if parking spots found you? Work w/Ford they crafted a “What If” experience to show how small changes & innovative thinking can make people’s lives better.
  22. Social Strategy: Charts & Darts ( Charts + Darts ) amplifies in-house content strategy/ production through a mix of persona driven content for a well-known automotive brand.
  23. Pet Startup: Epipaws ( EpiPaws ) wins the 2023 Petcare Innovation Prize by Nestle Purina.
  24. EdTech App: Zeemee ( ZeeMee ) kicks off promotional partnership with Ed Sheeran.
  25. Drone Shows: Pixis ( Pixis - The Premier Drone Show Company ) - the category leader - helps Paris Hilton launch her new brand via a custom Drone Show off Santa Monica Pier: #SlivingLand. Other executions in ‘23 w/Formula One, Drake & Nike & Candy Crush.

As I look to the back half of ‘23, I’ve got a $100,000,000 pitch (Global B2B Media) & $7,000 pitch (SEO Audit Health & Wellness). I’ve aligned with over 20 indy partners that are best in class marketers, focused in specific categories.

Later this year, you can expect an announcement about some advisory positions that have me taking an equity position in some promising businesses. This is a 1st for me, but I’m excited to do something I’ve always wanted to do.
